Claims
- 1. A phase difference detection type focus detection system for detecting focus condition of an objective lens of a camera with respect to an object within a focus detection area which spreads at a solid angle centering at the optical axis of said objective lens, comprising:
- a light projecting optical system for projecting a flux of light which crosses said focus detection area at a predetermined angle;
- a projective pattern arranged in said projecting optical system so as to be projected on said object as a projective image; and
- a plurality of transparent portions and opaque portions arranged alternatively at random pitches for forming said projective pattern.
- 2. The focus detection system of claim 1, wherein width of said opaque portions are respectively different at each of the opaque portions and the repetition pitch of a pair of transparent portions and opaque portions is irregular.
- 3. The focus detection system of claim 2, wherein said objective lens is constituted as an interchangeable lens of said camera.
- 4. The focus detection system of claim 2, wherein said light projecting optical system includes:
- a light source for emitting light;
- a projecting lens for projecting said light forward as said flux of light; and
- wherein said projective pattern is arranged in a position between said light source and said projecting lens.
- 5. The focus detection system of claim 4, wherein said projective pattern is positioned substantially at the point of focus of said projecting lens.
- 6. An accessory for use with a camera having a phase difference detection type focus detection system for detecting focus condition of an objective lens of said camera with respect to an object within a focus detection area which spreads at a solid angle centering at the optical axis of said objective lens, said accessory comprising:
- a light projecting optical system for projecting a flux of light which crosses said focus detection area at a predetermined angle;
- a projective pattern arranged in said projecting optical system so as to be projected on said object as a projective image; and
- a plurality of transparent portions and opaque portions arranged alternatively at random pitches for forming said projective pattern.
- 7. The accessory of claim 6, wherein the width of said opaque portions are respectively different at each of the opaque portions and the repetition pitch of a pair of transparent portions and opaque portions is irregular.
- 8. The accessory of claim 7, wherein said objective lens is constituted as an interchangeable lens of said camera.
- 9. The accessory of claim 7, wherein said light projecting optical system includes:
- a light source for emitting light;
- a projecting lens for projecting said light forward as said flux of light; and
- wherein said projective pattern is arranged in a position between said light source and said projecting lens.
- 10. The accessory of claim 9, wherein said projective pattern is positioned substantially at the point of focus of said projecting lens.
