The present invention generally relates to a sports trivia game which includes a set of playing cards having a plurality of sports related questions and answers that are color coded by level of difficulty, a scoring strategy guide based on difficulty of the sports related questions for determining scoring, at least one score card for keeping track of the scoring, and a housing for retaining the set of playing cards, the scoring strategy guide, and the score cards. One particular embodiment of the present invention relates to a golf trivia game where the set of playing cards includes a range of golf related questions and answers and the scoring strategy guide is based in the difficulty of the golf related questions for determining strokes taken where the lowest number of strokes wins the game.
The present invention is directed to a sports trivia game having a set of playing cards where each playing card includes several sports related questions and answers that are color coded by level of difficulty, a scoring strategy guide based on difficulty of the sports related questions for determining scoring, at least one score card for keeping track of the scoring, and a housing or holder for retaining the set of playing cards, the scoring strategy guide, and the score cards. It is anticipated that any sport may be used to create a sports trivia game in accordance with the present invention including, but not limited to NASCAR racing, football, and golf.
One exemplary embodiment of the invention is directed to a golf trivia game having a housing for retaining a set of playing cards and score cards where each of the playing cards includes a range of golf related questions and a scoring strategy guide based on difficulty of the golf related questions for determining strokes taken where the lowest number of strokes wins the game.
Each of the golf trivia playing cards may also include answers to the golf related questions. The golf related questions and answers may be color coded according to level of difficulty. Different color tees may also be retained within the housing which correspond to the different levels of difficulty for the golf related questions.
This application is a continuation of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 11/122,917 entitled “Golf Trivia Game”, which claims the benefit and priority of U.S. provisional patent application having Ser. No. 60/567,927 filed May 4, 2004, both of which are herein incorporated by reference.
