Claims
- 1. A method for preventing the increase of temperature in heat sensitive devices through the absorption of heat during heat generating conditions comprising the steps of:(a) providing an amount of hydrated salt sufficient to effect the required heat absorption, said hydrated salt being selected from the group consisting of hydrated salts of Lithium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Sodium Sulfate, Aluminum Oxide, Aluminum Sulfate, Aluminum Fluoride, Aluminum Nitrate, Lithium Nitrate, Sodium Borate, Beryllium Sulfate, Sodium Phosphate, Calcium Chloride, Zinc Sulfate, Aluminum Chloride, Zinc Chloride and the mixtures thereof; and (b) supporting said hydrated salt in a position between the heat sensitive device and a heat generator; so as to absorb the heat and prevent any increase in the temperature of the heat sensitive device.
- 2. A method for preventing the increase of temperature in a heat sensitive device through the absorption of the heat sensitive device's self-generated heat, during heat generating conditions, comprising the steps of:(a) providing an amount of hydrated salt sufficient to effect the required heat absorption, said hydrated salt being selected from the group consisting of hydrated salts of Lithium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Sodium Sulfate, Aluminum Oxide, Aluminum Sulfate, Aluminum Fluoride, Aluminum Nitrate, Lithium Nitrate, Sodium Borate, Beryllium Sulfate, Sodium Phosphate, Calcium Chloride, Zinc Sulfate, Aluminum Chloride, Zinc Chloride and the mixtures thereof; and (b) contacting said hydrated salt to the heat sensitive device; so as to absorb the heat sensitive device's self generating heat and prevent any increase in its temperature.
- 3. A method for preventing the increase of temperature in a heat sensitive device through the absorption of the heat sensitive device's self-generated heat, during heat generating conditions, comprising the steps of:(a) providing an amount of hydrated salt sufficient to effect the required heat absorption, said hydrated salt being selected from the group consisting of hydrated salts of Lithium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Sodium Sulfate, Aluminum Oxide, Aluminum Sulfate, Aluminum Fluoride, Aluminum Nitrate, Lithium Nitrate, Sodium Borate, Beryllium Sulfate, Sodium Phosphate, Calcium Chloride, Zinc Sulfate, Aluminum Chloride, Zinc Chloride and the mixtures thereof; and (b) indirectly contacting said carbonate salt to the heat sensitive device; so as to absorb the heat sensitive device's self generating heat and prevent any increase in its temperature.
- 4. A method of using a hydrated salt in an amount sufficient to absorb a predetermined amount of heat comprising the step of directly or indirectly contacting the hydrated salt to a heat sensitive device, wherein said hydrated salt is selected from the group consisting of hydrated salts of Lithium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Sodium Sulfate, Aluminum Oxide, Aluminum Sulfate, Aluminum Fluoride, Aluminum Nitrate, Lithium Nitrate, Sodium Borate, Beryllium Sulfate, Sodium Phosphate, Calcium Chloride, Zinc Sulfate, Aluminum Chloride, Zinc Chloride and the mixtures thereof.
