Claims
- 1. A heat developable light-sensitive material comprising a support, a light-sensitive layer and a non-light-sensitive layer, said light-sensitive layer containing silver halide and a reducing agent, and said non-light-sensitive layer containing a cyanine dye repesented by the formula (Ia-2) or a salt thereof and a base precursor, wherein the cyanine dye or the salt thereof is in the form of solid particles, which are dispersed in the non-light-sensitive layer. in which R11 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, —NR31R34, —OR31 or —SR31, each of R31 and R34 independently is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, or R31 and R34 are combined to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; R12 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group; R13 is an aliphatic group; L11 is a heptamethine chain; each of Y11 and Y12 independently is —CR14R15—, —NR14—, —0—, —S—, or —-Se—, each of R14 and R15 independently is hydrogen or an alophatic group or R14 and R15 are combined to form an alophatic ring; and the benzene rings of Z11 and Z12 may be condensed with another benzene ring.
- 2. The heat developable light-sensitive material as claimed in claim 1, wherein R11 in the formula (Ia-2) is —OR31 or —SR31, and R31 is an aliphatic group or an aromatic group.
- 3. A heat development image forming process comprising the steps of:imagewise exposing to light a heat developable light-sensitive material comprising a support, a light-sensitive layer and a non-light-sensitivve layer, said light-sensitive layer containing silver halide and a reducing agent, and said non-light-sensitive layer containing a cyanine dye represented by the formula (Ia-2) or a salt thereof and a base precursor, wherein the cyanine dye or the salt thereof is in the form of solid particles, which are dispersed in the non-light-sensitive layer: in which R11 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, —NR31R34, —OR31 or —SR31, each of R31 and R34 independently is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, or R31 and R34 are combined to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; R12 is hydrogen, an alophatic group or an aromatic group; R13 is an aliphatic group; L11 is a heptamethine chain; each of Y11 and Y12 independently is —CR14R15—, —NR14−, —O—, —S— or —Se—, each of R14 and R15 independently is hydrogen or an aliphatic group or R14 and R15 are combined to form an alipahtic ring; and the benzene rings of Z11 and Z12 may be condensed with another benzene ring.
- 4. The heat development image forming process as claimed in claim 3, wherein R11 in the formula (Ia-2) is —OR31 or —SR31, and R31 is an aliphatic gorup or an aromatic group.
- 5. A thermal image recording material comprising a support and an image recording layer, said image recording layer containing a cyanine dye represented by the formula (Ia-2) or a salt thereof and a base precursor, wherein the cyanine dye or the salt thereof is in the form of solid particles, which are dispersed in the image recording layer: in which R11 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, —NR31R34, —OR31 or —SR31, each of R31 and R34 independently is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, or R31 and R34 are combined to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; R12 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group; R13 is an aliphatic group; L11 is a heptamethine chain; each of Y11 and Y12 independently is —CR14R15—, —NR14—, —O—, —S— or —Se—, each of R14 and R15 independently is hydrogen or an aliphatic group or R14 and R15 are combined to form an aliphatic ring; and the benzene rings of Z11 and Z12 may bbe condensed with another benzene ring.
- 6. The thermal image recording material as claimed in claim 5, wherein R11 in the formula (Ia-2) is —OR31 or —SR31, and R31 is an aliphatic group or an aromatic group.
- 7. A thermally decoloring image recording process comprising imagewise heating a thermal image recording material at 80 to 200° C., said image recording material comprising a support and an image recording layer, said image recording layer containing a cyanine dye represented by the formula (Ia-2) or a salt thereof and a base precursor, wherein the cyanine dye or the salt thereof is in the form of solid particles, which are dispersed in the image recording layer: in which R11 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, —NR31R34, —OR31 or —SR31, each of R31 and R34 independently is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, or R31 and R34 are combined to form a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; R12 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group; R13 is an aliphatic group; L11 is a heptamethine chain; each of Y11 and Y12 independently is —CR14R15—, —NR14—, —O—, —S— or —Se—, each of R14 and R15 independently is hydrogen or an aliphatic group or R14 and R15 are combined to form an aliphatic ring; and the benzene rings of Z11 and Z12 may be condensed with another benzene ring.
- 8. The thermally decoloring image recording process as claimed in claim 7, wherein R11 in the formula (Ia-2) is —OR31 or —SR31, and R31 is an aliphatic group or an aromatic group.
- 9. A process for decoloring a cyanine dye comprising heating a cyanine dye presented by the formula (IIa-2) or a salt thereof at 80 to 200° C. in the perference pf a base: in which X31 is —NR34—, —O— or —S—; each of R31 and R34 independently is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, or R31 and R34 are combined to form an nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; R32 is hydrogen, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group; R33 is an aliphatic group; L31 is a heptamethine chain; Y31 and Y32 independently is —CR37R38—, —NR37—, —O—, —S— or —Se—, each of R37 and R38 independently is hydrogen or an aliphatic group or R37 and R38 are combined to form an aliphatic ring; and the benzen rings of Z31 and Z32 may be condensed with another benzene ring.
- 10. The thermally decoloring image recording process as claimed in claim 9, where X31 in the formula (IIa-2) is —O— or —S—, and R31 in the formula (IIa-2) is an aliphatic group or an aromatic group.
