Claims
- 1. A foamed polymeric material obtained from a polymer blend comprising syndiotactic styrene polymer and an amount of a polycarbonate which will impart a heat distortion temperature which is at least about 130.degree. C.
- 2. The polymeric material of claim 1 further comprising a silicone elastomer.
- 3. The polymeric material of claim 1, wherein the polymer blend comprises about 80% syndiotactic styrene polymer, about 15% polycarbonate and about 5% silicone elastomer.
- 4. The polymeric material of claim 1, wherein the blend comprises from about 60% to about 80% syndiotactic styrene polymer.
- 5. The polymeric material of claim 1, wherein the blend comprises more than 15% polycarbonate.
- 6. The polymeric material of claim 1, wherein the blend comprises about 75% syndiotactic styrene polymer and about 25% polycarbonate.
