Claims
- 1. A process for producing a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of recombinant human immune interferon comprising growing a culture of a microorganism or cell culture, transformed with a replicable expression vehicle comprising DNA encoding said recombinant human immune interferon, under conditions sufficient to effect production of said recombinant human immune interferon and recovering said recombinant human immune interferon.
- 2. A process for producing a polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of des-CYS-TYR-CYS recombinant human immune interferon comprising growing a culture of a microorganism or cell culture, transformed with a replicable expression vehicle comprising DNA encoding said des-CYS-TYR-CYS recombinant human immune interferon, under conditions sufficient to effect production of said des-CYS-TYR-CYS recombinant human immune interferon and recovering said des-CYS-TYR-CYS recombinant human immune interferon.
- 3. A process comprising growing a recombinant host cell wherein a DNA sequence encoding recombinant human immune interferon is expressed in said recombinant host cell, said recombinant host cell being a microorganism or cell culture transformed with an expression vector containing said DNA sequence.
- 4. A process comprising growing a recombinant host cell wherein a DNA sequence encoding des-CYS-TYR-CYS recombinant human immune interferon is expressed in said recombinant host cell, said recombinant host cell being a microorganism or cell culture transformed with an expression vector containing said DNA sequence.
- 5. The process according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, or 4, wherein a transformed E. coli strain is employed.
- 6. The process according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, or 4, wherein a transformed COS-7 line of monkey kidney fibroblasts is employed.
- 7. The process according to any one of claims 1, 2, 3, or 4, which additionally comprises the step of recovering said human immune interferon.
- 8. The process according to claim 1 or 3 wherein said human immune interferon has the amino acid sequence 1-146 as set forth in FIG. 5.
- 9. The process according to claim 2 or 4 wherein said human immune interferon has the amino acid sequence 4-146 as set forth in FIG. 5.
