Claims
- 1. Valve control means for use in a hydrostatic system comprising,
- a shiftable cam having a depression and at least one rise therein,
- a pair of regulator valves each having spool means which includes a dual spool component and a cam follower component, and yieldable means between the components biasing them apart,
- the combination also including fluid lines to the regulator valves including at least one line to a position for control by the dual spool component and at least a line to a positon for control by the cam follower component,
- the cam follower components in the two regulator valves being shiftable and thereby enabling one of them to enter into the depression and another to move onto a rise of the cam for respectively opening and shutting off the fluid lines leading to the regulator valves.
- 2. The combination of claim 1 and including a plurality of fluid lines leading to positions for control by the dual spool components, and wherein when one of the cam follower components moves into the depression in the cam, the lines leading to the dual spool component of the corresponding valve are respectively opened and cut off but the line leading to the cam follower component of the valve remains cut off, and
- when that cam follower component moves up onto a rise of the cam, the lines leading to the dual spool component of the valve are respectively opened and shut off but the line leading to the cam follower component is opened.
- 3. Valve control means for use in a hydrostatic system comprising,
- a pair of regulator valves,
- a main line leading through each of the regulator valves and serving as a pressure fluid line,
- each of the regulator valves having a spool operable for controlling the opening and closing of the corresponding main line, and
- common actuating means operative, in response to actuation thereof, for moving the spool means of the regulator valves and thereby controlling the opening and closing of the main lines through the regulator valves,
- said common actuating means including a cam movable along a predetermined line, and having a depression at an intermediate position, and a straight cam surface on at least one side of the depression extending in the direction of the line of movement of the cam, whereby one of the movable spools can enter into the depression and be actuated for controlling the respective line through that valve and the other spool rides on said straight cam surface without actuation of the corresponding regulator valve.
- 4. Valve control means according to claim 3, wherein the cam has a rise at at least one end of the cam,
- the depression and rise being spaced apart a distance similar to the spacing of the regulator valves whereby the movable spool in one of the regulator valves may be positioned in the depression and the spool in the other regulator valve engages the rise of the cam, whereby to actuate the movable spools in the regulator valves mutually reversely.
- 5. Valve control means according to claim 3 wherein the cam includes a straight cam surface parallel with the line of movement of the cam, between the depression and the rise,
- the depression and the rise are spaced apart a distance slightly greater than the spacing of the regulator valves, whereby the spool of a first of the valves can enter into the depression, at least to an extent, while the spool in a second of the regulator valves remains on the straight cam surface,
- whereby the first of the regulator valves is thus actuated and the second of the regulator valves is not actuated.
- 6. Valve control means according to claim 5 wherein the cam includes a rise at each end and a straight cam surface on each of opposite sides between the depression and the respective rise, whereby the movable spools are movable mutually reversely in either direction of shifting of the cam.
- 7. Valve control means according to claim 3, wherein the movable spool in each of the regulator valves includes a pair of spaced elements,
- one of the spool elements engaging the cam, and
- means between the spool elements for shifting the other spool element in response to movement of the one engaging the cam.
- 8. Valve control means according to claim 7, wherein the means between the spool elements consists of a movable coil spring.
- 9. Valve control means for use in a hydraulic system, comprising,
- a pair of regulator valves,
- a main line leading through each regulator valve and serving as a pressure fluid line,
- a release line leading through each regulator valve,
- each regulator valve including spool means, each spool means including two elements, a first one operable upon movement thereof for controlling the opening and closing of the corresponding main line, and a second one operable upon movement thereof for controlling the opening and closing of the corresponding release line, and
- common actuating means operable, in response to movement thereof in a first direction, for moving both elements in each spool means simultaneously and thereby operable for variably controlling the main line in a first of the regulator valves, and variably controlling the release line in the second of the regulator valves, and further operable for moving the first element of each spool means for controlling the corresponding main line independently the movement of the second element of the same spool means which controls the corresponding release line.
