Claims
- 1. An isolated polynucleotide comprising a nucleotide sequence comprising a fragment of the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 which encodes a protein comprising an amino acid sequence comprising amino acids 20 to 95 of SEQ ID NO: 2 having FMH-1 protease activity.
- 2. The polynucleotide of claim 1 wherein said nucleotide sequence is operably linked to an expression control sequence.
- 3. The polynucleotide of claim 1 which encodes a human FMH-1 protein.
- 4. The polynucleotide of claim 1 comprising the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 from nucleotide 121 to nucleotide 1683.
- 5. A host cell transformed with the polynucleotide of claim 2.
- 6. The host cell of claim 5, wherein said cell is a mammalian cell.
- 7. A process for producing an FMH-1 protein, said process comprising:
(a) growing a culture of the host cell of claim 5 in a suitable culture medium; and (b) purifying the FMH-1 protein from the culture.
- 8. The polynucleotide of claim 1 comprising a nucleotide sequence comprising a fragment which encodes an amino acid sequence comprising amino acids 20 to 95 of SEQ ID NO:2.
