Claims
- 1. A copying apparatus comprising:
- a platen for supporting thereon an original;
- means for illuminating the original on said platen;
- a rotatable member on which an image corresponding to the original image illuminated by said illuminating means is formed;
- driving means for moving said platen from a rest position to an exposure start position in one direction, then moving said platen in the opposite direction to scan-illuminate the original and then moving said platen in said one direction toward said rest position after termination of the scan-illumination;
- means for prerotating said rotatable member in preparation for a copying operation, while said platen is moved from the rest position to the exposure start position;
- means for forming the image corresponding to the original image illuminated by said illuminating means on said rotatable member subjected to the prerotation by said prerotating means, while said platen is moved in said opposite direction;
- first feed means for feeding a copying sheet from a supply station to a predetermined position;
- second feed means for feeding the copying sheet from said predetermined position to said rotatable member so that the image formed on said rotatable member is recorded on the copying sheet; and
- control means for controlling said first and second feed means such that said second feed means is driven to feed the copying sheet from said predetermined position to said rotatable member, while said platen is moved in said opposite direction, and said first feed means is driven to feed the next copying sheet to said predetermined position, while said platen is moved in said one direction after termination of the scan-illumination.
- 2. A copying apparatus comprising:
- a platen for supporting an original thereon;
- means for illuminating the original on said platen;
- a rotatable member on which an image corresponding to the original image illuminated by said illuminating means is formed;
- driving means for moving said platen from a rest position to an exposure start position in one direction, then moving said platen in the opposite direction to scan-illuminate the original, and then moving said platen in said one direction toward said rest position after termination of the scan-illumination;
- detecting means for detecting a position of said platen;
- means for prerotating said rotatable member in preparation for a copying operation, while said platen is moved from the rest position to the exposure start position;
- means for forming the image corresponding to the original shape illuminated by said illuminating means on said rotatable member subjected to the prerotation by said prerotating means, while said platen is moved in said opposite direction;
- first control means for controlling said driving means to stop said platen, which is being moved in said one direction after termination of the scan-illumination, at said rest position in accordance with an output of said detecting means; and
- second control means for causing said first control means to be inhibited from stopping said platen at said rest position to permit said platen to move toward said exposure start position, if a plural number of times of scan-illuminations are not yet terminated in a multi-copy, so that further scan-illumination may be performed.
- 3. A copying apparatus comprising:
- a platen for supporting thereon an original;
- means for illuminating the original on said platen;
- a rotatable member on which an image corresponding to the original image illuminated by said illuminating means is formed;
- feed means for feeding a copying sheet to said rotatable member so that the image formed on said rotatable member is recorded on the copying sheet;
- driving means for moving said platen from a rest position to an exposure start position in one direction, then moving said platen in the opposite direction to scan-illuminate the original, and then moving said platen in said one direction toward said rest position after termination of the scan-illumination;
- detection means for detecting a position of said platen;
- means for prerotating said rotatable member in preparation for a copying operation, while said platen is moved from the rest position to the exposure start position;
- means for forming the image corresponding to the original image illuminated by said illuminating means on said rotatable member subjected to the prerotation by said prerotating means, while said platen is moved in said opposite direction;
- feed control means for controlling said feed means to feed the copy sheet in accordance with an output of said detecting means, while said platen is being moved in said one direction after termination of the scan-illumination, if a plural number of times of scan-illumination are not yet terminated in a multi-copy, wherein said feed control means disables said feed means after termination of a plural number of times of scan-illumination in a multi-copy.
- 4. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising detecting means for detecting a position of said platen, wherein said control means enables said first feed means to operate in accordance with an output of said detecting means.
- 5. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said control means disenables said first feed means after termination of a plural number of times of scan-illumination in a multi-copy.
- 6. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said supply station is adapted to be provided with a storage unit for storing a plurality of copying sheets, and said first feed means feeds the copying sheets one by one from said storage unit to said predetermined position.
- 7. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said supply station is adapted to manually supply the copying sheets one by one, and said first feed means feeds the copying sheet manually supplied to said predetermined position.
- 8. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a light focusing means provided in a space forming the shortest distance between said rotatable member and said platen for projecting the reflecting light from the illuminated original to said rotatable member.
- 9. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said rotatable member is provided with a seamless photo-sensitive medium on a surface thereof.
- 10. A copying apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising means for introducing the light from said illuminating means to said rotatable member to illuminate said rotatable member before or after the scan-illumination of the original.
- 11. A copying apparatus according to claim 2, further comprising a second detecting means for detecting a position of said platen, and said first control means further controls said driving means to stop said platen, which is being moved in said one direction, at said exposure start position.
- 12. A copying apparatus according to claim 2, further comprising means for feeding the copying sheet to said rotatable member so that the image formed on said rotatable member is recorded on the copying sheet.
- 13. A copying apparatus according to claim 12, wherein said apparatus includes storage unit for storing a plurality of copying sheets, and said feed means feeds the copying sheets one by one from said storage unit.
- 14. A copying apparatus according to claim 12, wherein said feed means feeds the copying sheet manually set one by one.
- 15. A copying apparatus according to claim 2, further comprising a light focusing means provided in a space forming the shortest distance between said rotatable member and said platen for projecting the reflecting light from the illuminated original to said rotatable member.
- 16. A copying apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said rotatable member is provided with a seamless photo-sensitive medium on a surface thereof.
- 17. A copying apparatus according to claim 2, further comprising means for introducing the light from said illuminating means to said rotatable member to illuminate said rotatable member before or after the scan-illumination of the original.
- 18. A copying apparatus according to claim 3, further comprising a second detecting means for detecting a position of said platen, and said control means for controling said driving means to stop said platen, which is being moved in said one direction, at said exposure start position.
- 19. A copying apparatus according to claim 3, wherein apparatus includes timer means and said control means controls said driving means to move said platen, which is being moved in said opposite direction, in said one direction, in accordance with the time counting of said timer means.
- 20. A copying apparatus according to claim 19, wherein said timer means performs the time counting according to the size of the copying sheet fed by said feed means.
- 21. A copying apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said apparatus includes storage unit for storing a plurality of copying sheets, and said feed means feeds the copying sheets one by one from said storage unit.
- 22. A copying apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said feed means feeds the copying sheet manually set one by one.
- 23. A copying apparatus according to claim 3, further comprising a light focusing means provided in a space forming the shortest distance between said rotatable member and said platen for projecting the reflecting light from the illuminated original to said rotatable member.
- 24. A copying apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said rotatable member is provided with a seamless photo-sensitive medium on a surface thereof.
- 25. A copying apparatus comprising:
- a reciprocable platen for supporting an original to be copied;
- means for illuminating an original on said platen;
- a rotatable photosensitive member;
- means for moving said platen in a reciprocal cycle, said means being arranged to move the platen in one direction from an initial rest position to a scan start position, then to move said platen in the opposite direction to scan-illuminate the original, and then to move said platen in said one direction toward said rest position after termination of the scan-illumination;
- means for prerotating said rotatable photosensitive member in preparation for a copying operation, while said platen is moved from the initial rest position to the scan start position; and
- means operable in a copying operation for forming an image corresponding to the original image illuminated by said illuminating means on said rotatable photosensitive member subjected to the prerotation by said prerotating means, while said platen is moved in said opposite direction.
- 26. A copying apparatus according to claim 25, further comprising a light-focusing means for projecting the reflected light from the illuminated original to said rotatable member.
- 27. A copying apparatus according to claim 25, further comprising means for generating clock signals synchronized with rotation of said rotatable member, and means for counting the clock signals, wherein said moving means is arranged to cause said platen to start its movement in said one direction toward said rest position in accordance with the count value of said counting means.
- 28. A copying apparatus according to claim 25, further comprising means for detecting whether or not said platen is at said rest position.
- 29. A copying apparatus according to claim 25, wherein said rotatable member includes a seamless photosensitive medium.
- 30. A copying apparatus according to claim 25, further comprising means for detecting when said platen is at a predetermined position, and means for feeding a sheet to which the image formed on said photosensitive member is to be transferred, wherein said feed means is arranged to feed the sheet when said detecting means detects said platen while said platen is moving in the opposite direction.
- 31. A copying apparatus according to claim 25, wherein there is provided means for feeding a sheet to which the image formed on said photosensitive member is to be transferred, and wherein said moving means is arranged to move said platen in the opposite direction by a distance according to the size of the sheet fed by said feeding means.
