Claims
- 1. A copying apparatus comprising:
- document feeding means for supporting a plurality of stacked documents and feeding the documents successively to an exposure position and for discharging the documents from the exposure position after exposure;
- an image forming means for forming images of two discrete documents side by side on a single surface of copy paper;
- a determining means for determining if total number of documents supported on said document feeding means is an even number or an odd number; and
- a control means, when the total number of the documents is determined to be odd number, for controlling said image forming means so as to form only an image of a first document fed by said document feeding means on the single surface of copy paper and then controlling said image forming means so as to form images of two successive documents on the next successive single surface of copy paper.
- 2. A copying apparatus comprising:
- document feeding means for supporting a plurality of stacked documents and feeding the documents successively to an exposure position and for discharging the documents from the exposure position after exposure;
- an image forming means for forming images of two discrete documents side by side on a single surface of copy paper;
- means for inputting a number of documents to be copied; and
- a control means, when the number of the documents input by said input means is an odd number, for controlling said image forming means so as to form an image of a first document fed by said document feeding means on a half region of the single surface of copy paper with a remaining half region being blank and then controlling said image forming means so as to form images of two successive documents on the next successive single surface of copy paper.
- 3. A copying apparatus as claimed in claim 2, wherein said image forming means includes a photoconductive member on which images of the documents are formed and an erasing means for erasing any images on the portion of the photoconductive member which corresponds to the remaining half region.
- 4. A copying apparatus comprising:
- document feeding means for supporting a plurality of stacked documents and feeding the documents successively to an exposure position and for discharging the documents from the exposure position after exposure;
- image forming means for forming an image of one document on a single surface of copy paper in a first copy mode and forming images of two discrete documents side by side on a single surface of copy paper in a second copy mode;
- mode selecting means for selecting either the first copy mode or the second copy mode;
- a plurality of copying sheet accommodating sections, each of which accommodates a copy sheet size different from each other;
- copy sheet selecting means for selecting a specific one of the copying sheet accommodating sections which accommodates sheets of a size which is the same as the image of the documents in the first copy mode and which accommodates sheets which are twice the size as the image of document in the second copy mode;
- a determining means for determining if the number of documents supported on said document feeding means is an even number or an odd number; and
- a control means operable when the second mode is selected and the number of the documents is determined to be odd number by said determining means, for controlling said image forming means so as to form only an image of a first document fed by said document feeding means on the single surface of copy paper fed from the specific copy paper accommodating section selected by said copy sheet selecting means. t
