Claims
1. An image-forming method comprising the steps of:
superposing a heat-sensitive transfer sheet on a heat-sensitive transfer image-receiving sheet so that at least one receptor layer of the heat-sensitive transfer image-receiving sheet described below can be contacted with a thermal transfer layer of the heat-sensitive transfer sheet described below; andproviding thermal energy in accordance with image signals given from a thermal head, thereby to form an image;
2. The image-forming method according to claim 1, comprising the steps of:
superposing a heat-sensitive transfer sheet on a heat-sensitive transfer image-receiving sheet so that at least one receptor layer of the heat-sensitive transfer image-receiving sheet described below can be contacted with a thermal transfer layer of the heat-sensitive transfer sheet described below; andproviding thermal energy in accordance with image signals given from a thermal head, thereby to form an image;
3. The image-forming method according to claim 2, wherein at least two-third by molar ratio of the acid component of said polyester is terephthalic acid.
4. The image-forming method according to claim 2, wherein at least three-fourth by molar ratio of the acid component of said polyester is terephthalic acid.
5. The image-forming method according to claim 2, wherein the heat-sensitive transfer sheet comprises at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (1) or (3):
6. The image-forming method according to claim 2, wherein the heat-sensitive transfer sheet comprises at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (4) or (5):
7. The image-forming method according to claim 2, wherein the heat-sensitive transfer sheet comprises at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (6):

The image-forming method according to claim 2, wherein the heat-sensitive transfer sheet comprises at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (1) or (3) as a yellow dye, at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (4) or (5) as a magenta dye, and at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (6) as a cyan dye:
9. The image-forming method according to claim 2, wherein a transport speed of the heat-sensitive transfer image-receiving sheet at the time of image-forming is 125 mm per second or more.
10. The image-forming method according to claim 1, comprising the steps of:
superposing a heat-sensitive transfer sheet on a heat-sensitive transfer image-receiving sheet so that at least one receptor layer of the heat-sensitive transfer image-receiving sheet described below can be contacted with a thermal transfer layer of the heat-sensitive transfer sheet described below; andproviding thermal energy in accordance with image signals given from a thermal head, thereby to form an image;
11. The image-forming method according to claim 10, wherein the heat-resistant sliding layer contains a polymer obtained by reacting a compound having two or more isocyanate groups with a polymer.
12. The image-forming method according to claim 10, wherein a thickness of the heat-resistant sliding layer is in the range of 0.1 to 2.0 μm.
13. The image-forming method according to claim 10, wherein the heat-sensitive transfer sheet comprises at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (7) or (8):
14. The image-forming method according to claim 10, wherein the heat-sensitive transfer sheet comprises at least one kind of a dye represented by any one of formulae (9), (10) and (11):
15. The image-forming method according to claim 10, wherein the heat-sensitive transfer sheet comprises at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (12) or (13):

The image-forming method according to claim 10, wherein the heat-sensitive transfer sheet comprises at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (7) or (8) as a yellow dye, at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (9), (10) or (11) as a magenta dye, and at least one kind of a dye represented by formula (12) or (13) as a cyan dye:
17. The image-forming method according to claim 10, wherein a transport speed of the heat-sensitive transfer image-receiving sheet at the time of image-forming is 125 mm per second or more.
