Claims
- 1. An image forming apparatus comprising:
- means for forming an image on a recording material;
- a plurality of detecting means, each disposed at a different area in the apparatus, for detecting improper states of the apparatus and for providing respective signals indicative of the improper states;
- control means comprising a first memory for storing a program allowing execution of image formation when no improper state is detected by any of said plurality of detection means, and disabling said image formation upon detection of an improper state in response to a signal from at least one of said plurality of detecting means, wherein said control means controls the operation of the apparatus according to the program and in response to signals from said detecting means and further comprises a second memory for storing a datum to control the apparatus;
- input means for inputting the datum into said second memory as a specific instruction signal; and
- means for enabling the operation of said apparatus, despite an occurrence of an improper state, in accordance with the datum inputted by said input means.
- 2. An image processing apparatus comprising:
- operable means for processing an original image;
- a plurality of detecting means, each disposed at a different area in the apparatus, for detecting improper states of the apparatus and for providing respective signals indicative of the improper states;
- control means comprising a first memory for storing a program allowing execution of image processing when no improper state is detected by any of said plurality of detection means, and disabling image processing upon the detection of an improper state in response to a signal from at least one of said plurality of detecting means, wherein said control means controls the operation of the apparatus according to the program and in response to signals from said detecting means and further comprises a second memory for storing datum to control the apparatus;
- input means for inputting the datum into said second memory as a specific instruction signal; and
- means for enabling the operation of the apparatus, without identification of said improper states, in accordance with the datum inputted by said input means.
- 3. An image processing apparatus comprising:
- operable means for processing an original image;
- control means for controlling the operation of said operable means for performing an image process;
- first input means for entering an instruction into said apparatus for starting the operation of said operable means;
- second input means for entering instructions into said apparatus relating to a normal image process;
- wherein said control means includes a computer control means comprising a memory for storing a program having instructions for operation of said operable means in accordance with both said first input means and said second input input means, and wherein said second input means is operable to permit the apparatus to operate in a non-normal manner without performing normal image processing.
- 4. An apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said second input means inputs a code signal into the apparatus to permit operation in the non-normal manner without performing normal image processing.
- 5. An apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said second input means permits the apparatus to operate despite the occurrence of an improper state.
- 6. An apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said second input means comprises a dual purpose key which is selectively operable for inputting instructions for the apparatus to perform normal image processing and for instructing the apparatus to operate in the non-normal manner.
- 7. An apparatus according to claim 3, wherein said second input means comprises a ten-key array for the input of a numerical instruction, and wherein said computer control means is responsive to the operation of keys of said ten-key array in accordance with a predetermined code to effect omission of a portion of the program corresponding to the code.
- 8. An apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said input means inputs a code signal as the specific instruction signal.
- 9. An apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said input means is numerical key means for entering a numerical datum to repeat an image process.
- 10. An image processing apparatus, comprising:
- operable means for processing image information;
- control means for controlling the operation of said operable means for performing image processing;
- first input means for entering instruction into said apparatus for the operation of said operable means; and
- second input means for entering instruction into said apparatus relating to a normal image processing;
- wherein said control means includes computer control means comprising memory means for storing a program having instruction for operation of said operable means in accordance with said first input means and wherein said second input means is operable to permit the apparatus to operate in a non-normal manner without performing normal image processing.
- 11. An apparatus according to claim 3 or 10, wherein said second input means is operable to permit the apparatus to operate in the non-normal manner by selective execution of said program.
