Claims
- 1. An information recording medium having a disk shape comprising: a transparent substrate having a disk shape; a recording layer formed on said substrate; and a reflective layer formed on said recording layer, wherein said recording layer consists of at least one cyanine dye represented by formula (I) or (II), and a phenol type compound represented by formula (PH-1) or (PH-2): ##STR17## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and X.sup.- represents a counter ion; ##STR18## wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represent an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and X.sup.- represents a counter ion; ##STR19## wherein said phenol type compound is present in an amount of 5 to 50 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of said cyanine dye.
- 2. The information recording medium according to claim 1, wherein said recording layer contains two cyanine dyes represented by the general formulae (I) and (II) respectively, wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 in formula (I) are each n--C.sub.4 H.sub.9 and X.sup.- is ClO.sub.4.sup.-, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 in formula (II) are each n--C.sub.3 H.sub.7 and X is I.sup.-.
- 3. The information recording medium according to claim 1, wherein said recording layer further contains a quencher of a Ni complex selected from the group consisting of structural formulae (Q-1) to (Q-4), ##STR20##
