Claims
- 1. A method of decoying heat seeking, antiship missiles comprising:
- (1) spraying a fuel consisting essentially of a liquid polydimethylsiloxane having a viscosity of from about 2.0 to 10.0 centistokes at 25.degree. C. to form an inverted cone having its vertex at approximately sea level and its base at about 20 to about 30 feet above sea level;
- (2) igniting the fuel; and
- (3) continuing to feed the fuel to the resulting cone of flames.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein the viscosity of the polydimethylsiloxane is approximately 5 centistokes at 25.degree. C.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein the base of the cone is not more than ten feet in diameter.
