Claims
- 1. An isolated, purified polypeptide having a length of no more than 150 amino acid residues, which polypeptide is a fragment of the D.sub.30 region of the gamma chain of fibrinogen (SEQ ID NO 3), wherein said fragment includes an amino acid residue sequence represented by the formula --QKRLDGS--, said sequence shown in SEQ ID NO 3 from residue 195 to residue 201.
- 2. The polypeptide of claim 1, wherein said polypeptide has an amino acid residue sequence represented by a formula selected from the group consisting of:
- QKRLDGSVDFKK (SEQ ID NO 3: 195-206),
- GQKRLDGSVDFKK (SEQ ID NO 11: 195-206),
- WTVFQKRLDGSV (SEQ ID NO 3: 191-202),
- GQKRLDGS (SEQ ID NO 11: 195-201),
- QKRLDGS (SEQ ID NO 3: 195-201),
- KYGWTVFQKRLDGSV (SEQ ID NO 12: 191-202), and
- KYGQKRLDGS (SEQ ID NO 13: 195-201).
