Claims
- 1. A method for checking whether an article has been inspected by penetrating radiation, comprising the steps of:
- i) providing said article with a heat stimulable storage phosphor, wherein said penetrating radiation leaves a human- or machine-readable semi-permanent or permanent mark,
- ii) irradiating said article with said heat stimulable phosphor, with penetrating radiation, in such a way that both said article and said phosphor are irradiated, and
- iii) checking if a mark is present by
- heating said storage phosphor, releasing fluorescent light and
- detecting said fluorescent light by a human eye.
- 2. A method for checking whether an article has been inspected by penetrating radiation, comprising the steps of:
- i) providing said article with a photostimulable storage phosphor, wherein said penetrating radiation leaves a human- or machine-readable semi-permanent or permanent mark,
- ii) irradiating said article provided with said phosphor, with penetrating radiation, in such a way that both said article and said phosphor are irradiated, and
- iii) checking if a mark is present by
- scanning said photostimulable phosphor with stimulating light, releasing fluorescent light and
- detecting said fluorescent light by a human eye.
