Claims
- 1. A light-sensitive element comprising a support and a light-sensitive layer containing silver halide, a reducing agent and a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated compound,
- said silver halide being contained in the light-sensitive layer in such an amount that the total silver content is in the range of from 0.1 mg/m.sup.2 to 10 g/m.sup.2,
- said reducing agent being a compound selected from the group consisting of derivatives of p-phenylenediamine, p-aminophenol, 4-aminoantipyrine, benzothiazolonehydrazone and 4-amino-5-pyrazolone, and being contained in the light-sensitive layer in an amount of 0.1 to 1,500 mole % based on the amount of silver,
- said polymerizable compound being contained in the light-sensitive layer in an amount of 5 to 1.2.times.10.sup.5 times by weight as much as the amount of silver halide,
- wherein the light-sensitive layer further contains an azo-compound having the following formula:
- Ri--N=N--Cp
- in which Ri is an aryl group or a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups; and Cp is a group having a function of coupling with an oxidation product of said reducing agent,
- said azo-compound being contained in the light-sensitive layer in an amount of from 0.1 to 1,500 mole % on the amount of silver.
- 2. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein the reducing agent is an N,N-dialkyl-p-phenylenediamine derivative.
- 3. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein the polymerizable compound is dispersed in the light-sensitive layer in the form of oil droplets, and the silver halide and azo-compound are contained in the oil droplets.
- 4. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein the polymerizable compound is contained in microcapsules which are dispersed in the light-sensitive layer, and the silver halide and azo-compound are contained in the microcapsules.
- 5. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein the light-sensitive layer further contains a color image forming substance, said substance being contained in the light-sensitive layer in an amount of from 0.5 to 50 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the polymerizable compound.
- 6. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Ri in the formula is phenyl.
- 7. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Ri in the formula is naphthyl.
- 8. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Ri in the formula is pyridyl.
- 9. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Ri in the formula is thiazolyl.
- 10. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Ri in the formula is benzothiazolyl.
- 11. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 16, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (I): ##STR7## in which each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 12. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (II): ##STR8## in which each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 13. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (III): ##STR9## in which each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 independently is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 14. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (IV): ##STR10## in which each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 15. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (V): ##STR11## in which R.sup.1 is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 16. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (VI): ##STR12## in which R.sup.1 is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 17. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (VII): ##STR13## in which each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 18. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (VIII): ##STR14## in which each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, and R.sup.3 independently is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 19. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (IX): ##STR15## in which each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
- 20. The light-sensitive element as claimed in claim 1, wherein Cp in the formula is a monovalent group having the formula (X): ##STR16## in which R.sup.1 is a monovalent group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxyl group, an aryloxyl group, an acyl group, an acylamino group, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an alkyamino group, an arylamino group, acyloxyl group, ureido, cyano and a heterocyclic group, each of which may have one or more substituent groups.
