Claims
- 1. A light source device comprising:emitting means for emitting laser light; an optical element for optically adjusting the laser light issuing from said emitting means, said optical element including a front surface and a rear surface through which the laser light is propagated, and a peripheral surface; first supporting means supporting said emitting means; second supporting means supporting said optical element, said second supporting means including a support surface supporting said optical element, said support surface being substantially identical in shape with said peripheral surface of said optical element facing said support surface; and affixing means affixing said optical element to said second supporting means by photo-curable adhesive.
- 2. A light source device as claimed in claim 1, wherein said second supporting means is formed integrally with said first supporting means.
- 3. A light source device comprising:emitting means for emitting laser light: an optical element for optically adjusting the laser light issuing from said emitting means, said optical element including a front surface and a rear surface through which the laser light is propagated, and a peripheral surface: first supporting means supporting said emitting means: second supporting means supporting said optical element, said second supporting means including a support surface supporting said optical element, said support surface being substantially identical in shape with said peripheral surface of said optical element facing said support surface; and affixing means affixing said optical element to said second supporting means, wherein said affixing means comprises an adhesive layer formed of solidified adhesive and having a width in a direction of propagation of the laser light advances smaller than a width of said support surface of said second supporting means in said direction.
- 4. A light source device comprising:emitting means for emitting laser light; an optical element for optically adjusting the laser light issuing from said emitting means, said optical element including a front surface and a rear surface through which the laser light is propagated, and a peripheral surface; first supporting means supporting said emitting means; second supporting means supporting said optical element, said second supporting means being formed integrally with said first supporting means, said second supporting means including a support surface supporting said optical element, said support surface being substantially identical in shape with said peripheral surface of said optical element facing said support surface; affixing means affixing said optical element to said second supporting means; and wherein said first supporting means and said second supporting means are formed of resin sparingly susceptible to an influence of temperature variation in a direction parallel to the direction of propagation of the laser light.
- 5. A light source comprising:an emitting member for emitting light; an optical element located at a rear of said emitting member in a direction of propagation of the light and having a front surface, a rear surface, and a peripheral surface, for optically adjusting the light input to said front surface before the light is output from said rear surface; a first supporting member supporting said emitting member; a second supporting member located at the rear of said emitting member in the direction of propagation of the light and including a support surface extending in said direction, said support surface supporting said peripheral surface of said optical element and being substantially identical in shape with said peripheral surface facing said support surface; and an affixing member intervening between and affixing said peripheral surface of said optical element and said second supporting member to each other by photo-curable adhesive.
- 6. A light source device as claimed in claim 5, further comprising a shaping member located at the rear of said optical element in the direction of propagation of the light for shaping the light propagated through said optical element.
- 7. A light source device as claimed in claim 5, wherein said second supporting member is formed integrally with said first supporting member.
- 8. A light source device as claimed in claim 5, wherein said peripheral surface of said optical element is arcuate while said support surface is arcuate with an arc greater than an arc of said peripheral surface.
- 9. A light source comprising:an emitting member for emitting light; an optical element located at a rear of said emitting member in a direction of propagation of the light and having a front surface, a rear surface, and a peripheral surface, for optically adjusting the light input to said front surface before the light is output from said rear surface; a first supporting member supporting said emitting member; a second supporting member located at the rear of said emitting member in the direction of propagation of the light and including a support surface extending in said direction, said support surface supporting said peripheral surface of said optical element and being substantially identical in shape with said peripheral surface facing said support surface; and an affixing member intervening between and affixing said peripheral surface of said optical element and said second supporting member to each other, wherein said affixing member comprises an adhesive layer formed of solidified adhesive, said support surface of said second supporting means having a width in the direction of propagation of the light greater than a width of said adhesive layer in said direction.
- 10. A light source comprising:an emitting member for emitting light; an optical element located at a rear of said emitting member in a direction of propagation of the light and having a front surface, a rear surface, and a peripheral surface, for optically adjusting the light input to said front surface before the light is output from said rear surface; a first supporting member supporting said emitting member; a second supporting member located at the rear of said emitting member in the direction of propagation of the light and including a support surface extending in said direction, said support surface supporting said peripheral surface of said optical element and being substantially identical in shape with said peripheral surface facing said support surface; and an affixing member intervening between and affixing said peripheral surface of said optical element and said second supporting member to each other, wherein said affixing member comprises an adhesive cured by ultraviolet rays.
- 11. A light source device as claimed in claim 10, wherein said optical element comprises a transparent lens.
- 12. A light source device comprising:a semiconductor laser for emitting laser light; a lens located at a rear of said semiconductor layer in a direction of propagation of the laser light and having an input surface, an output surface, and a peripheral surface, the laser light being input to said input surface and output from said output surface; and a holding member including a base portion and a projection, said base portion including a laser mount surface supporting said semiconductor laser and a vertical surface perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the laser light at a rear of said semiconductor laser in said direction, said projection being positioned on said vertical surface at the rear of said semiconductor layer in said direction and including a support surface extending in said direction, said support surface being substantially identical in shape as said peripheral surface of said lens which faces said lens and affixing said lens via an adhesive layer.
- 13. A light source device as claimed in claim 12, wherein said support surface includes a non-adhesion portion without said adhesive layer and an adhesion portion with said adhesive layer which are sequentially arranged in this order from said vertical surface in the direction of propagation of the laser light.
- 14. A light source device as claimed in claim 12, further comprising an aperture, said support surface having a slit at a rear of a position where said lens is mounted in the direction of propagation of the laser light, said aperture being positioned in said slit.
- 15. A light source device as claimed in claim 12, further comprising an aperture including a slit surface and a hold surface, said slit surface being perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the laser light and formed with a slit having a preselected shape for shaping the laser light, said laser mount surface comprising a through bore extending throughout said base portion from a surface opposite to said vertical surface, said semiconductor laser being received in said through bore, said vertical surface having a circular stepped portion around said through bore for affixing said aperture by retaining said hold surface of said aperture.
