Claims
- 1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
- a liquid crystal display panel sealing a liquid crystal between two superposed transparent glass substrates,
- a plurality of circuit substrates arranged at the two, three or four sides of the peripheral portion of said liquid crystal display panel,
- a light guide plate for a back light arranged with respect to said liquid crystal display panel,
- a metallic shield casing for accommodating said liquid crystal display panel and said circuit substrates,
- and a lower casing monolithically molded for accommodating said back light, said metallic shield casing and said mold casings being united by fitting individual fitting members thereof;
- wherein said liquid crystal display panel is formed with a single plate portion disposed at a side of said liquid crystal display panel where no circuit substrate is arranged so that said liquid crystal display panel and said light guide plate are held through an elastic member between said single plate portion and said light guide plate and fixed in said device.
- 2. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
- a liquid crystal display panel,
- a plurality of circuit substrates arranged on the outer circumferential portion of said liquid crystal display panel,
- a light guide plate arranged below said liquid crystal display panel,
- a fluorescent tube arranged on at least one side face of said light guide plate,
- a metallic shield casing for accommodating said liquid crystal display panel and said circuit substrates together,
- a mold casing monolithically molded for accommodating said light guide plate and said fluorescent tube, and
- two cables having their individual one ends connected with the two ends of said fluorescent tube;
- wherein at least one of the two cables is accommodated in a groove which is made integral with the side wall of said mold casing.
- 3. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 2,
- further comprising a retaining member is formed one or more holes or grooves for holding both said fluorescent tube and one or two of said cables.
- 4. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 2,
- wherein said light guide plate is prevented from moving toward said fluorescent tube by small projections which are formed on the inner face of said mold casing between said light guide plate and said fluorescent tube.
- 5. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 2,
- further comprising an elastic member interposed between said liquid crystal display panel and said light guide plate;
- wherein said shield casing is pushed into said device to unit said shield casing and said mold casing by fitting their individual fitting portions, characterized in that said mold casing is formed with an opening at its central portion excepting its frame portion.
- 6. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 2,
- wherein said groove of said mold casing extends in a direction of extension of said fluorescent tube.
- 7. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 6,
- wherein said groove of said mold casing is proximate to said fluorescent tube.
- 8. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 6,
- wherein said liquid crystal display device has longer sides and shorter sides, said groove and said fluorescent tube being arranged to extend along one of said longer sides of said liquid crystal display device.
- 9. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 2,
- further comprising retaining members for retaining the two ends of said fluorescent tube, respectively.
- 10. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 9,
- further comprising additional grooves made integral with said mold casing and separate from said groove accommodating said at least one of the two cables, said additional grooves respectively accommodating said retaining members.
- 11. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
- a liquid crystal display panel;
- at least one circuit substrate arranged on an outer circumferential portion of said liquid crystal display panel;
- a light guide plate arranged with respect to said liquid crystal display panel;
- a fluorescent tube arranged with respect to at least one side face of said light guide plate, said fluorescent tube having two ends;
- a metallic shield casing for accommodating said liquid crystal display panel and said at least one circuit substrate together;
- a mold casing for accommodating said light guide plate and said fluorescent tube; and
- two cables, each of said two cables having one end thereof connected with a different one of the two ends of said fluorescent tube;
- wherein at least one of the two cables is accommodated in a groove which is made integral with said mold casing.
- 12. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 11, wherein said groove of said mold casing extends in a direction of extension of said fluorescent tube.
- 13. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said groove of said mold casing is proximate to said fluorescent tube.
- 14. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 12, wherein said liquid crystal display device has longer sides and shorter sides, said groove and said fluorescent tube being arranged to extend along one of said longer sides of said liquid crystal display device.
- 15. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 11, further comprising retaining members for retaining the two ends of said fluorescent tube, respectively.
- 16. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 15, further comprising additional grooves made integral with said mold casing and separate from said groove accommodating said at least one of the two cables, said additional grooves respectively accommodating said retaining members.
- 17. A liquid crystal display device according to claim 11, wherein said at least one circuit substrate includes a plurality of circuit substrates, said metallic shield casing accommodating said liquid crystal display panel and said plurality of circuit substrates together, said mold casing being a monolithically molded mold casing.
