Claims
- 1. A liquid-sealing type vibration isolating apparatus comprising:a coupler configured to be attached to a vibrating body; a holder configured to be attached to a vehicle body side; an insulator provided between said coupler and said holder that absorbs and isolates vibration from said vibrating body; and a vibration isolating mechanism which directly follows said insulator and which is formed with a liquid chamber containing a liquid in the form of an incompressible fluid, wherein said vibration isolating mechanism includes a main chamber having a wall that is formed by a part of the insulator and that seals the liquid, an auxiliary chamber connected to said main chamber via a first orifice, wherein said liquid flows through said first orifice and said auxiliary chamber is formed by a first diaphragm, an equilibrium chamber divided from said main chamber via a second diaphragm which allows the volume in the equilibrium chamber to change, a partition plate located in the main chamber and dividing the main chamber into a main portion and a sub-portion with the sub-portion being located between the main portion and the second diaphragm, the partition plate having a second orifice formed therein which allows fluid to flow between the main portion of the main chamber and the sub-portion of the main chamber, a switching mechanism which switches a pressure in said equilibrium chamber alternatively to a negative pressure or atmospheric pressure in synchronization with engine vibration, wherein the switching of the pressure in said equilibrium chamber causes said second diaphragm to vibrate in synchronization with engine vibration, and a control mechanism which controls the switching operation of said switching mechanism.
- 2. The liquid-sealing type vibration isolating apparatus according to claim 1, whereinsaid coupler is an inner cylinder; said holder is an outer cylinder; said insulator is provided around said inner cylinder between said inner cylinder and said outer cylinder; said vibration isolating mechanism is provided around said insulator; and the first diaphragm separates an air chamber from said auxiliary chamber.
- 3. A liquid-sealing type vibration isolating apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising an elastic stopper member located in the main chamber, the elastic stopper member and the partition plate being configured and disposed so as to protect the second diaphragm from large amplitude vibrations when large amplitude vibrations enter the main chamber from the vibrating body.
- 4. A liquid-sealing type vibration isolating apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the second diaphragm has a higher deformation rigidity than the first diaphragm.
