Claims
- 1. A lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant, comprising any one or more of polyethers selected from the group consisting of a polyether represented by the following general formula (1):X—{—O—(AO)n—H}p (1) wherein X represents a residue of a monool or polyol from which a hydroxyl group is eliminated; (AO)n represents a polyoxyalkylene group formed by copolymerization of ethylene oxide and an alkylene oxide having 3 or more carbon atoms, and having 50 to 10 wt % of the oxyethylene group in (AO)n; n is 2 or more; and p is a valence of X,and having 50% or more of secondary hydroxyl groups among the hydroxyl groups located at a terminal of the structure based on the total number of hydroxyl groups, ora polyether represented by the following general formula (2): X—{—O—(AO1)a—(AO2)b—H}p (2) wherein X represents a residue of a monool or polyol from which a hydroxyl group is eliminated; (AO1)a represents a polyoxyalkylene group formed by copolymerization of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide; AO2 represents an oxyalkylene group having 3 or more carbon atoms; a is 2 or more; b is 1 or more; and p is a valence of X,and having 50% or more of secondary hydroxyl groups among the hydroxyl groups located at a terminal of the structure based on the total number of hydroxyl groups.
- 2. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 1, wherein (AO)n in general formula (1) or (AO1)a in general formula (2) is a polyoxyalkylene group formed by random copolymerization of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide, or a polyoxyalkylene group partially containing a polyoxyalkylene group formed by random copolymerization.
- 3. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 1, wherein a kinematic viscosity of the polyether represented by the general formula (1) or the general formula (2) at 40° C. is 15-200 cSt.
- 4. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 1, wherein the ratio of the oxyethylene group in (AO)n in the general formula (1) is 30-10 wt % or the ratio of the oxyethylene group in (AO1)a in the general formula (2) is 50-10 wt %.
- 5. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 1, wherein the degree of unsaturation of the polyether represented by the general formula (1) or the general formula (2) is 0.05 meq/g or less.
- 6. A method of lubricating refrigerators that use ammonia refrigerant, the method comprising the step of utilizing as a refrigerant oil any one or more of polyethers selected from the group consisting ofa polyether represented by the following general formula (1): X—{—O—(AO)n—H}p (1) wherein X represents a residue of a monool or polyol from which a hydroxyl group is eliminated; (AO)n represents a polyoxyalkylene group formed by copolymerization of ethylene oxide and an alkylene oxide having 3 or more carbon atoms, and having 50 to 10 wt % of the oxyethylene group in (AO)n; n is 2 or more; and p is a valence of X,and having 50% or more of secondary hydroxyl groups among the hydroxyl groups located at a terminal of the structure based on the total number of hydroxyl groups, ora polyether represented by the following general formula (2): X—{—O—(AO1)a—(AO2)b—H}p (2) wherein X represents a residue of a monool or polyol from which a hydroxyl group is eliminated; (AO1)a represents a polyoxyalkylene group formed by copolymerization of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and/or butylene oxide; AO2 represents an oxyalkylene group having 3 or more carbon atoms; a is 2 or more; b is 1 or more; and p is a valence of X,and having 5% or more of secondary hydroxyl groups among the hydroxyl groups located at a terminal of the structure based on the total number of hydroxyl groups.
- 7. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 1, wherein X in the general formula (1) or in the general formula (2) is a monool or a polyol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 8. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 2, wherein X in the general formula (1) or in the general formula (2) is a monool or a polyol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 9. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 3, wherein X in the general formula (1) or in the general formula (2) is a monool or a polyol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 10. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 4, wherein X in the general formula (1) or in the general formula (2) is a monool or a polyol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 11. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 5, wherein X in the general formula (1) or in the general formula (2) is a monool or a polyol having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
- 12. The lubricant for refrigerators using ammonia refrigerant according to claim 1, wherein the molecular weight of the polyether is in the range of approximately 300 to 3,000.
