Claims
- 1. A 3:2 type metal compound of formula II: ##STR40## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represent a hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may bind together to form an aromatic or aliphatic ring which may have one or more substituents of a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; and M is a trivalent metal.
- 2. Compound of claim 1 wherein M is a trivalent metal selected from the group consisting of Cr, Al, Ti, Fe, Ni, Co, Mn, Si and Sn.
- 3. A mixture of a 3:2 type compound of claim 1 with a 2:1 type metal compound of formula IV: ##STR41## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represent a hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may bind together to form an aromatic or aliphatic ring which may have one or more substituents of a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; M is a metal; and A.sup.+ is a cation.
- 4. A 6:4 type metal compound of formula III: ##STR42## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represent a hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may bind together to form an aromatic or aliphatic ring which may have one or more substituents of a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; and M is a trivalent metal.
- 5. Compound of claim 4 wherein M is a trivalent metal selected from the group consisting of Cr, Al, Ti, Fe, Ni, Co, Mn, Si and Sn.
- 6. A mixture of a 6:4 type compound of claim 4 with a 2:1 type metal compound of formula IV: ##STR43## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represent a hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may bind together to form an aromatic or aliphatic ring which may have one or more substituents of a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; M is a metal; and A.sup.+ is a cation.
- 7. A mixture of claim 6 further including a 3:2 type metal compound of formula II: ##STR44## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 independently represent a hydrogen, a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may bind together to form an aromatic or aliphatic ring which may have one or more substituents of a linear or branched alkyl group, or a linear or branched unsaturated alkyl group; and M is a trivalent metal.
