Claims
- 1. A tool for threading a wire through a wall or partition comprising an elongate rod having a threaded first end adapted to be screwed into a wire and a second distal end having a tapered head adapted to be pushed through said wall or partition.
- 2. The tool of claim 1 wherein said rod has a length greater than or equal to the combined width of a pair of wall members including a space between said wall members.
- 3. A tool for threading a wire through a partition comprising a pair of wall members and a space between said wall members, comprising a rod having a length that at least spans the distance between said wall members, said rod having a first end comprising a pointed screw member suitable for engaging a wire and having a distal end comprising a tapered head.
- 4. A tool for threading a wire through a wall or partition comprising an elongate rod having a first end comprising a pointed screw member for engaging a wire and a second distal end having a tapered head terminating in a point.
- 5. A method for threading a wire through a wall or partition having a near side and an opposite side, comprising the steps of providing a rod having a threaded first end and a tapered second end, engaging said wire with said threaded first end, inserting said tapered second end of said rod through an aperture in the near side of said wall or partition, and pushing said rod through said wall or partition, and grasping said rod from the opposite side of said wall or partition and pulling on it so as to pull said rod with said attached wire through said wall or partition.
- 6. The method of claim 5 wherein said wall or partition comprises a double walled structure having first and second wall members separated by a space, and said method further includes the steps of pushing said rod through said first wall member and through said space, finding an aperture in said second wall member, pushing said tapered second end of said rod through said aperture in said second wall member, and pulling said rod through both of said wall members with said wire attached thereto.
- 7. The method of claim 5 or 6 wherein the step of engaging said wire is accomplished by screwing said threaded first end into an end of said wire along an axis thereof.
