Claims
- 1. A method for preparing a rolled silver halide photographic element comprising the steps of:
- (A) providing a polymer layer on both surfaces of a biaxially oriented polyester support having a thickness of 40-200 .mu.m, wherein said polymer layer consists essentially of a copolymer containing from 50 to 99.5% by weight vinylidene chloride and 50 to 0.5% of at least one comonomer, wherein each polymer layer has a thickness of at least 0.3 .mu.m;
- (B) providing at least one hydrophillic colloid layer, containing from 0.01 to 1.0 parts by weight of a polymer latex per 1.0 part by weight of a binder in said hydrophillic colloid layer, on at least one side of the resulting polyester support of step (A), wherein at least one of said hydrophillic colloid layers is a silver halide emulsion layer; and
- (C) winding the resulting silver halide photographic element of step (B) around a core such that the surface temperature of the provided layers of the silver halide photographic element is from 40.degree. to 50.degree. C.
- 2. The method as claimed in claim 1, additionally comprising the step of:
- (D) allowing the resulting rolled silver halide photographic element of step (C) to stand for at least 8 hours in a packed state in a heat insulating packaging material.
- 3. The method as claimed in claim 2, wherein packaging is carried out such that the inside of the resulting package has temperature of from 18.degree. C. to 30.degree. C. and a relative humidity of from 40% to 55%.
- 4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein said comonomer is selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid ester, a vinyl monomer having an alcohol at the side chain thereof, an alkyl acrylate, acrylonitrile, itaconic acid, methacrylate acid, itaconate, alkyl methacrylic methacrylate, acrylimide and mixtures thereof.
