Claims
- 1. In a method for holding a substrate of a glass plate, ceramic plate or porcelain-enameled plate for a planar display in a container, comprising:
- providing a holding container comprising two panels disposed in an opposing relation and defining therein a plurality of grooves for holding plural substrates spacedly, said holding container being made of polyether ether ketone having a recurring unit of ##STR2## and having a melt flow index in the range of 1-5 g/10 minutes at 360.degree. C. under a load of 2.16 kg in accordance with ASTM D 1238; and
- placing the substrates in the holding container without giving off fine powder from the container and without causing deformation of the container during chemical treatments, processing, washing, heat drying, transportation and storage of the substrates.
- 2. The method according to claim 1 wherein the polyether ether ketone is not reinforced with glass fibers.
- 3. A method for holding glass substrates for a liquid-crystal or plasma display in a holding container, which method comprises:
- placing glass substrates in a holding container comprising two panels which are disposed in an opposing relation and define a plurality of grooves for holding the substrates spacedly, said container being made of polyether ether ketone having a recurring unit of ##STR3## and having a melt flow index in the range of 5-10 g/10 minutes at 360.degree. C. under a load of 2.16 kg in accordance with ASTM D 1238;
- subjecting the glass substrates to treatments of masking, etching, washing and heat drying, whereby the glass substrates are held in the holding container by not giving off fine powders from the container even at 200.degree. C. during the treatments.
- 4. The method according to claim 3 wherein the polyether ether ketone is not reinforced with glass fibers.
