Claims
- 1. A method for stacking a disc comprising the step of using at least one index mark associated to the disc.
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of using includes detecting at least one index mark on the disc.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein the step of using includes rotating the disc until the at least one index mark is detected.
- 4. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of rotating the disc to an offset angle.
- 5. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of writing information to the disc.
- 6. The method of claim 1 wherein the index mark has an identifying configuration.
- 7. The method of claim 1 in wherein the disc includes another associated index mark.
- 8. The method of claim 7 wherein the index marks form an identifying pattern.
- 9. The method of claim 1 wherein the disc has a magnetic storage capability.
- 10. A method comprising the steps of:
detecting at least one index mark on each of at least two discs; aligning the discs according to the marks; and performing a one of a group consisting of stacking and identifying the aligned discs.
- 11. The method of claim 10 further comprising the step of writing information to the aligned discs.
- 12. A disc comprising:
at least one physical property; and at least one index mark associated to the at least one physical property.
- 13. The disc of claim 12 having at least two index marks.
- 14. The disc of claim 12 having magnetic storage capabilities.
- 15. The disc of claim 12 wherein the at least one index mark has a distinguishable appearance.
- 16. The disc of claim 13 wherein the at least two index marks have an identifying pattern.
- 17. The disc of claim 12, wherein the disc is included in a disc drive and the disc is alignable according to the at least one index mark.
- 18. The disc of claim 12, wherein the disc is included in an apparatus that includes a plurality of the discs, the discs alignable according to the at least one index mark of each of the discs.
- 19. The disc of claim 18 wherein the apparatus is a disc drive.
