Claims
- 1. A cathode for an electrical deposition apparatus for depositing coatings, said cathode characterized by:
- a cup-shaped receptacle of a first metal having an interior cavity filled with a second metal, and the first metal having a higher melting point than the second metal.
- 2. A cathode as defined in claim 1 wherein the second metal is one of indium, tin, or zinc.
- 3. A cathode as defined in claim 1 wherein said cup-shaped receptacle is operably connected to a cooling apparatus.
- 4. A cathode as defied in claim 1 wherein the cathode includes means for producing a radial magnetic field on the surface of the cathode.
