Claims
- 1. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising:(a) filling at least one internal container with a processing solution, wherein a volume of processing solution in said internal container is based on a rate of usage of the processing solution at a processing site; (b) placing the at least one internal container having the processing solution therein into an outer container; (c) transporting the outer container having the at least one filled internal container therein to the processing site for use at the processing site, wherein during use, the outer container with the at least one filled internal container therein is fluidly connected to a processing machine at the processing site, such that the processing solution is supplied from the at least one filled internal container to the processing machine until the at least one internal container is emptied; (d) removing the outer container having the at least one emptied internal container therein from the processing machine; and (e) preparing at least one of the internal and outer containers for reuse; wherein each of said steps (a) to (e) are performed by a designated supplier entity.
- 2. A method according to claim 1, wherein said preparing step (e) comprises the step of refurbishing both the internal and outer containers; andafter said refurbishing step, said method further comprises: (f) refilling the internal container with processing solution; (g) placing the refilled internal container into the outer container, and (h) transporting the outer container having the refilled internal container therein to the processing site for reuse on the processing machine or to a further processing site for reuse on a further processing machine at the further processing site wherein each of said steps (f) to (h) are performed by the designated supplier entity.
- 3. A method according to claim 2, further comprising:(i) disposing of the outer and internal containers after multiple refurbishing and reuse of the internal and outer containers, wherein said step (i) is performed by the designated supplier entity.
- 4. A method according to claim 1, wherein said preparing step (e) comprises the steps of refurbishing only said outer container and disposing of said internal container; andafter said refurbishing and disposing steps, the method comprises: (f) refilling a further internal container with processing solution; (g) placing the refilled further internal container into the outer container; and (h) transporting the outer container having the refilled further internal container therein to the processing site for reuse on the processing machine or to a further processing site for reuse on a further processing machine at the further processing site; wherein each of said steps (f) to (h) are performed by the designated supplier entity.
- 5. A method according to claim 4, further comprising:(i) disposing of the outer container after multiple refurbishing and reuse.
- 6. A method according to claim 1, wherein said outer container is a rigid outer container.
- 7. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising:filling a plurality of internal containers with different processing solutions; placing a waste container and the plurality of internal containers having the processing solutions therein into an outer container; transporting the outer container having the waste container and the plurality of filled internal containers therein to a processing site for use at the processing site, wherein during use, the outer container with the plurality of filled internal containers therein is fluidly connected to a processing machine at the processing site, such that the processing solutions are supplied from the plurality of filled internal containers to the processing machine until the internal containers are emptied and waste processing solution from the plurality of internal containers and the processing machine is collected in the waste container; removing the outer container having the waste container filled with waste solution and the plurality of emptied internal containers therein from the processing machine; and reusing at least the outer container.
- 8. A method according to claim 7, further comprising:providing a silver removal device in the waste container for reducing an amount of silver in the collected waste solution.
- 9. A method according to claim 7, further comprising:disposing of the internal container, the outer container and the waste container after multiple reuse and refurbishing.
- 10. A method according to claim 7, wherein said outer container is a rigid outer container.
- 11. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising:(a) filling at least one internal compartment of a container with a processing solution, said at least one internal compartment being integral with said container; (b) transporting the container having the at least one filled internal compartment to a processing site for use at the processing site, wherein during use, the container with the at least one filled internal compartment is fluidly connected to a processing machine at the processing site, such that the processing solution is supplied from the at least one filled internal compartment to the processing machine until the at least one internal compartment is emptied; (c) removing the container having the at least one emptied internal compartment from the processing machine; and (d) refurbishing the container and the internal compartment; wherein said steps (a) to (d) are performed by a designated supplier entity.
- 12. A method according to claim 11, wherein after said refurbishing step (d), said method further comprises:(e) refilling the internal compartment with processing solution; and (f) transporting the container having the refilled internal compartment to the processing site for reuse on the processing machine or to a further processing site for reuse on a further processing machine at the further processing site; wherein said steps (e) and (f) are performed by the designated supplier entity.
- 13. A method according to claim 12, further comprising:(g) disposing of the container after multiple refurbishing and reuse, wherein said step (g) is performed by the designated supplier entity.
- 14. A method according to claim 11, wherein said container is a rigid container.
- 15. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising:filling a first internal compartment of a container with a processing solution, said container having a second internal compartment for waste solution, said first and second internal compartments being integral with said container; transporting the container having the filled first internal compartment and the second internal compartment for waste solution to a processing site for use at the processing site, wherein during use, the container is fluidly connected with a processing machine at the processing site, such that the processing solution is supplied from the first filled internal compartment to the processing machine until the first filled internal compartment is emptied, and waste solution from the processing machine is continuously or periodically collected in the second internal compartment for waste solution; removing the container having the emptied first internal compartment and the second internal compartment filled with waste processing solution therein from the processing machine; and refurbishing the container and the first and second internal compartments for reuse.
- 16. A method according to claim 15, wherein after said refurbishing step, said method further comprises:refilling the first internal compartment of the container with processing solution; and transporting the container to the processing site for reuse on the processing machine or to a further processing site for reuse on a further processing machine at the further processing site.
- 17. A method according to claim 15, further comprising:providing a silver removal device in the second internal compartment for reducing an amount of silver in the collected waste solution.
- 18. A method according to claim 16, further comprising:disposing of the container after multiple reuse and refurbishing.
- 19. A method according to claim 15, wherein said container is a rigid container.
- 20. A method of providing photoprocessing services, wherein a single service supplier performs the steps of:supplying a processing solution supply packaging system having different processing solutions therein to a photofinishing site for use in a stand-alone processing solutions in the processing solution supply packaging system is based on ratios of utilization of the different processing solutions at said processor to permit all of the supplied processing solutions to be exhausted at approximately the same time; removing the processing solution packaging system and waste processing solution resulting from the use of the processing solution supply packaging system from the photofinishing site; and refurbishing the processing solution packaging system for reuse at the photofinishing site or a further photofinishing site.
- 21. A photoprocessing method comprising:filling at least one internal container with a processing solution; placing the at least one internal container having the processing solution therein into an outer container; transporting the outer container having the at least one filled internal container therein to a processing site for use at the processing site, wherein during use, the outer container with the at least one filled internal container therein is fluidly connected to a processing machine at the processing site, such that the processing solution is supplied from the at least one filled internal container to the processing machine until the at least one internal container is emptied; removing the outer container having the at least one emptied internal container therein from the processing machine; and reusing at least the outer container; wherein said reusing step comprises refurbishing and reusing both the internal container and the outer container, such that after said refurbishing of the internal and outer containers, said method further comprises: refilling the internal container with processing solution; placing the refilled internal container into the outer container; and transporting the outer container having the refilled internal container therein to the processing site for reuse on the processing machine or to a further processing site for reuse on a further processing machine at the further processing site.
- 22. A method according to claim 21, further comprising:disposing of the outer and internal containers after multiple refurbishing and reuse of the internal and outer containers.
- 23. A method according to claim 21, wherein said reusing step comprises reusing only said outer container and disposing of said internal container, and the method further comprising:refilling a further internal container with processing solution; placing the refilled further internal container into the outer container; and transporting the outer container having the refilled further internal container therein to the processing site for reuse on the processing machine or to a further processing site for reuse on a further processing machine at the further processing site.
- 24. A method according to claim 23, further comprising:disposing of the outer container after multiple refurbishing and reuse.
- 25. A method according to claim 21, wherein said outer container is a rigid outer container.
- 26. A method of providing photoprocessing services, wherein a single service supplier performs the steps of:supplying a processing solution packaging system having processing solution therein to a photofinishing site for use in a processor at the photofinishing site, said packaging system comprising at least two rigid outer containers each having at least one internal container filled with processing solution therein, wherein an amount of solution in each of the internal containers is such that the solutions in the internal containers will be completely utilized during use in the processor; removing the processing solution packaging system and waste processing solution resulting from the use of the processing solution packaging system from the photofinishing site; and refurbishing the processing solution packaging system for reuse at the photofinishing site or at a further photofinishing site.
- 27. A method according to claim 26, wherein said refurbishing step comprises reusing the at least two outer rigid containers and discarding the internal containers.
- 28. A method according to claim 26, wherein said refurbishing step comprises refurbishing the internal containers.
- 29. A method according to claim 26, wherein said refurbishing step comprises refurbishing said at least two rigid outer containers and said internal containers.
- 30. A method according to claim 26, wherein at least one of said rigid outer containers comprises a further internal container for receiving waste solution from the processor.
- 31. A reusable processing solution packaging system comprising:at least two rigid outer containers, each one of said at least two rigid outer containers having at least one internal container filled with processing solution therein, wherein an amount of solution in each of the internal containers is such that the solutions in the internal containers will be completely utilized during use in a processor.
- 32. A reusable processing solution packaging system according to claim 31, wherein at least one of said internal containers is adapted to collect waste solution from the processor.
- 33. A photoprocessing method comprising:filling a plurality of internal containers with a processing solution; placing the plurality of internal containers having the processing solution therein into an outer container; transporting the outer container having the filled plurality of internal containers therein to a processing site for use at the processing site, wherein during use, the outer container with the plurality of filled internal containers therein is fluidly connected to a processing machine at the processing site, such that the processing solution is supplied from the plurality of filled internal containers to the processing machine until the plurality of filled internal containers are emptied; removing the outer container having the plurality of emptied internal containers therein from the processing machine; and cleaning selected ones of said plurality of internal containers based on the type of solution carried in the internal containers.
- 34. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising:filling at least one internal container with a processing solution; placing a waste container and the at least one internal container having the processing solution therein into an outer container; providing a silver removal device in the waste container for reducing an amount of silver in waste solution collected in the waste container; transporting the outer container having the waste container and the at least one filled internal container therein to a processing site for use at the processing site, wherein during use, the outer container with the at least one filled internal container therein is fluidly connected to a processing machine at the processing site, such that the processing solution is supplied from the at least one filled internal container to the processing machine until the at least one internal container is emptied and waste processing solution from the processing machine is collected in the waste container; removing the outer container having the waste container filled with waste solution and the at least one emptied internal container therein from the processing machine, wherein the amount of silver in the waste solution is reduced by the silver removal device; and reusing at least the outer container.
- 35. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising the steps of:receiving a processing solution supply packaging system comprising an outer container and at least one internal container therein, said at least one internal container being empty as a result of prior usage at a photoprocessing site; refurbishing at least one of the internal container and the outer container for reuse at a selected photoprocessing site; refilling the at least one internal container in a manner in which a volume of processing solution provided in said internal container is based on a rate of utilization of processing solution at the selected photoprocessing site; and placing the refilled internal container into the outer container.
- 36. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising the steps of:filling at least one solution supply container with processing solution; placing a silver removal device into a waste container; and placing the filled solution supply container and the waste container having the silver removal device therein into an outer container for use at a photoprocessing site.
- 37. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising the steps of:receiving a processing solution supply packaging system comprising an outer container and at least one internal container therein, at least said internal container being made of a material which has a low permeability to oxygen; refurbishing at least one of the internal container and the outer container for use at a selected photoprocessing site; filling the at least one internal container with processing solution; and placing the filled internal container into the outer container.
- 38. A method of providing photoprocessing services, the method comprising:(a) filling at least one internal container with a processing solution, said at least one internal container being made of a material that has a low permeability o oxygen; (b) placing the at least one internal container having the processing solution therein into an outer container; (c) transporting the outer container having the at least one filled internal container therein to a processing site for use at the processing site, wherein during use, the outer container with the at least one filled internal container therein is fluidly connected to a processing machine at the processing site, such that the processing solution is supplied from the at least one filled internal container to the processing machine until the at least one internal container is emptied; (d) removing the outer container having the at least one emptied internal container therein from the processing machine; and (e) preparing at least one of the internal and outer containers for reuse.
