Claims
- 1. A method for the treatment of a disease caused by HIV which comprises administering to a host in need of said treatment a pharmaceutically effective amount of feglymycin or a physiologically tolerable salt of feglymycin or an obvious chemical equivalent of feglymycin.
- 2. A method as claimed in claim 1, wherein said feglymycin is prepared by fermenting the microorganisms DSM 11171 or a variant or mutant thereof and isolating said feglymycin.
- 3. A method for the treatment of a disease caused by HIV which comprises administering to a host in need of said treatment a pharmaceutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising feglymycin or a physiologically tolerable salt of feglymycin or an obvious chemical equivalent of feglymycin, together with a pharmaceutically effective carrier.
- 4. A method as claimed in claim 3, wherein said feglymycin is prepared by fermenting the microorganism DSM 11171 or a variant or mutant thereof and isolating said feglymycin.
