Claims
- 1. A biologically pure culture of the microorganism Actinomadura sp. having each of the identifying characteristics of ATCC No. 31491, and which is capable of producing the antitumor antibiotic BBM 928 complex in recoverable quantity upon cultivation on an aqueous culture medium containing assimilable sources of carbon and nitrogen under submerged aerobic conditions.

This application is a division of copending application Ser. No. 539,513 filed Oct. 10, 1983 and now U.S. Pat. No. 4,631,256 patented Dec. 23, 1986. The latter is a division of Ser. No. 390,149 filed June 21, 1982 and now U.S. Pat. No. 4,451,456 patented May 29, 1984, and that application is in turn a division of Ser. No. 122,626 filed Mar. 6, 1980, and now U.S. Pat.
