Claims
- 1. A mobile radio system having a base station and a plurality of mobile radio apparatuses, each said mobile radio apparatus comprising:
- a CPU for controlling said mobile radio apparatus and monitoring the status of the hardware of said mobile radio apparatus;
- a transmitter unit for transmitting data in the form of radio waves; and
- a CPU monitor unit for monitoring any abnormalities of said CPU,
- wherein said CPU regularly monitors and checks for any abnormalities of the hardware of said mobile radio apparatus, said CPU monitor unit regularly monitors and checks for any abnormalities of said CPU, and if one of said CPU and said CPU monitor unit detects an abnormality, a signal for preventing a radio wave output is supplied to said transmitter unit by said one of said CPU and said CPU monitor unit, and
- wherein said base station includes means for transmitting a signal for preventing the radio wave output of a mobile radio apparatus if said base station detects that said mobile radio apparatus is abnormal.
- 2. The mobile radio system of claim 1, wherein the mobile system is a CDMA system.
- 3. The mobile radio system of claim 1, wherein the base station transmits the signal for preventing the radio wave output of the mobile radio apparatus if the base station detects that the mobile radio apparatus is transmitting at a power level larger than a predetermined level.
- 4. A mobile radio system which comprises a mobile radio apparatus for use with an antenna and which additionally comprises a base station for communicating with the mobile radio apparatus,
- wherein the mobile radio apparatus includes
- a transmitter unit connected to the antenna to transmit data in the form of radio waves, the antenna having a radio wave output;
- a control CPU which controls the transmitter unit and which monitors the mobile radio apparatus for abnormalities, the control CPU emitting a signal to the transmitter unit for preventing the radio wave output if an abnormality is detected; and
- a CPU monitor unit which monitors the control CPU for abnormalities, the CPU monitor unit emitting a signal to the transmitter unit for preventing the radio wave output if the CPU monitor detects an abnormality in the control CPU, and
- wherein the base station includes
- a base station antenna;
- a base station transmitter unit connected to the base station antenna to transmit data to the mobile radio apparatus in the form of radio waves;
- a base station receiver unit connected to the base station antenna to receive data transmitted by the mobile radio apparatus; and
- a monitor unit connected to the base station receiver unit to monitor the mobile radio apparatus for abnormalities, the monitor unit emitting a signal to the base station transmitter unit for transmission to the mobile radio apparatus to prevent the radio wave output of the mobile radio apparatus if the monitor unit detects an abnormality in the mobile radio apparatus,
- wherein the monitor unit of the base station monitors the transmission power level of the mobile radio apparatus and emits the signal to the base station transmitter unit if the transmission power level is larger than a predetermined level.
- 5. The mobile radio system of claim 4, wherein the mobile radio system is a CDMA system.
- 6. A base station for use with a mobile radio apparatus which includes a mobile radio antenna, a mobile radio transmitter unit connected to the mobile radio antenna to transmit data in the form of radio waves, the mobile radio antenna having a radio wave output, and means for detecting abnormalities in the mobile radio apparatus and for signalling the mobile radio transmitter unit to prevent the radio wave output if an abnormality is detected, said base station comprising:
- a base station antenna;
- a base station transmitter unit connected to the base station antenna to transmit data to the mobile radio apparatus in the form of radio waves;
- a base station receiver unit connected to the base station antenna to receive data transmitted by the mobile radio apparatus; and
- a monitor unit connected to the base station receiver unit to monitor the mobile radio apparatus for abnormalities, the monitor unit emitting a signal to the base station transmitter unit for transmission to the mobile radio apparatus to prevent the radio wave output of the mobile radio apparatus if the monitor unit detects an abnormality in the mobile radio apparatus,
- wherein the monitor unit of the base station monitors the transmission power level of the mobile radio apparatus and emits the signal to the base station transmitter unit if the transmission power level is larger than a predetermined level.
- 7. The base station of claim 6, wherein the base station and the mobile radio apparatus communicate via CDMA radio.
- 8. A base station for use with a mobile radio apparatus which includes a mobile radio antenna, a mobile radio transmitter unit connected to the mobile radio antenna to transmit data in the form of radio waves, the mobile radio antenna having a radio wave output, and means for detecting abnormalities in the mobile radio apparatus and for signalling the mobile radio transmitter unit to prevent the radio wave output if an abnormality is detected, said base station comprising:
- a base station antenna;
- a base station transmitter unit connected to the base station antenna to transmit data to the mobile radio apparatus in the form of radio waves;
- a base station receiver unit connected to the base station antenna to receive data transmitted by the mobile radio apparatus; and
- a monitor unit connected to the base station receiver unit to monitor the mobile radio apparatus for hardware abnormalities, the monitor unit emitting a signal to the base station transmitter unit for transmission to the mobile radio apparatus to prevent the radio wave output of the mobile radio apparatus if the monitor unit detects a hardware abnormality in the mobile radio apparatus.
- 9. A mobile radio apparatus using CDMA comprising:
- a CPU for controlling said mobile radio apparatus and monitoring the status of said mobile radio apparatus;
- a transmitter unit for transmitting data in the form of radio waves; and
- a CPU monitor unit for monitoring any abnormalities of said CPU,
- wherein said CPU monitors and checks for any abnormalities of said mobile radio apparatus, and if said CPU detects an abnormality, said CPU emits a signal for preventing radio wave output to said transmitter unit, and
- wherein said CPU monitor unit monitors and checks for any abnormalities in said CPU, and if said CPU monitor unit detects an abnormality, said CPU monitor unit emits a signal for preventing radio wave output to said transmitter unit.
- 10. A mobile radio apparatus using CDMA comprising:
- a CPU for controlling said mobile radio apparatus and monitoring the status of said mobile radio apparatus;
- a transmitter unit for transmitting data in the form of radio waves; and
- a CPU monitor unit for monitoring any abnormalities of said CPU,
- wherein said CPU monitors and checks for any abnormalities of said mobile radio apparatus, said CPU and said CPU monitor unit monitor each other, and if one of said CPU and said CPU monitor unit detects an abnormality, said one of said CPU and said CPU monitor unit emits a signal for preventing radio wave output to said transmitter unit.
- 11. A base station using CDMA comprising:
- a transmitter unit; and
- a mobile radio status monitor unit for monitoring a signal received from a mobile radio apparatus to detect whether the mobile radio apparatus has a hardware abnormality,
- wherein said transmitter unit transmits a signal for preventing radio wave output to said mobile radio apparatus if said mobile radio status monitor unit detects that said mobile radio apparatus has a hardware abnormality.
- 12. The base station using CDMA of claim 11, wherein the base station transmits the signal for preventing the radio wave output of the mobile radio apparatus if the base station detects that the mobile radio apparatus is transmitting at a power level larger than a predetermined level.
- 13. A mobile radio CDMA system having a base station and a plurality of mobile radio apparatuses,
- wherein each of the mobile radio apparatuses comprises:
- a CPU for controlling said mobile radio apparatus and monitoring the status of said mobile radio apparatus;
- a transmitter unit for transmitting data in the form of radio waves; and
- a CPU monitor unit for monitoring any abnormalities of said CPU,
- wherein said CPU monitor unit monitors and checks for any abnormalities of said CPU, and if said CPU monitor unit detects an abnormality of said CPU, said CPU monitor unit emits to said transmitter unit a signal for preventing radio wave output, and
- wherein said base station comprises:
- a transmitter unit; and
- a mobile radio status monitor unit for monitoring abnormalities in said mobile radio apparatuses, and
- wherein, if said mobile radio status monitor unit detects that one of said mobile radio apparatuses is abnormal, said transmitter unit transmits a signal for preventing a radio wave output to the abnormal mobile radio apparatus.
- 14. The mobile radio CDMA system of claim 13, wherein the base station transmits the signal for preventing the radio wave output of the mobile radio apparatus if the base station detects that the mobile radio apparatus is transmitting at a power level larger than a predetermined level.
