Claims
- 1. A monoclonal antibody which binds specifically to a human-Th2-specific protein comprising the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:6.
- 2. A monoclonal antibody which binds specifically to an human-Th2-specific protein comprising a fragment of the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:6, said human-Th2-specific protein being obtained from a human Th2 cell possessing the following biological activities:
- (a) the human Th2 cell produces IL-4 and IL-5 but produces neither IFN-.gamma. nor TNF-.beta.;
- (b) the human Th2 cell proliferates in response to IL-2 and IL-4, the induction of the human Th2 cell is suppressed by IFN-.gamma.;
- (c) the human Th2 cell enhances antibody production and induces IgE production;
- (d) the human Th2 cell promotes differentiation and proliferation of mast cells and eosinophils.
- 3. A hybridoma which produces the monoclonal antibody set forth in claim 1.
- 4. A hybridoma which produces the monoclonal antibody set forth in claim 2.
