Our society uses millions of DC batteries every day and, today is perfectly acceptable that DC batteries will be discharged as they are being used.

Every battery when charged stores electrical energy potential in two separate compartments and parts, they are (a) an equal amount of positive potential and (b) an equal amount negative potential. When we charge a DC battery with positive potential, the universe provides an equal amount of negative electromagnetic potential to balance the battery and vice-versa, when we charge a DC battery with negative magnetic potential, the universe produces an equal amount of positive electromagnetic potential to balance the battery.

Negative resistance devices occur in the 4th quadrant as negative differential resistance devices which function as power sources which can produce electric power in the form of negative electromagnetic potential.

Our society depends on electrical energy increasingly every day from oil fueled generators, today most of the electrical energy is generated by magnetic generators which are rotated at high RPM by forces derived from carbon fuels thus creating hydro-carbon pollution as well as heat pollution.
