Claims
- 1. In or for a rotary electrical printer for forming images on electro-responsive recording paper having an opaque coating over a coating including a curved platen, a rotor, a plurality of styli mounted on said rotor to sweep across said platen when said rotor rotates, electrical energization means for selectively energizing said styli to cause said opaque coating to be selectively eroded away, and feed means for feeding said recording paper between said platen and said styli with said styli brushing across said opaque coating, and a support member, said platen and rotor being mounted on said support member, said support member being adapted to support said paper with said opaque coating facing downwardly towards the ground.
- 2. A device as in claim 1 in which said styli are elongated, flexible, and are inclined at an angle substantially less than 45.degree. with said record material, to urge said record paper upwardly towards said platen.
- 3. A device as in claim 1, including a housing for said feed means, said housing having a curved exterior generally conforming in shape to said platen and being near to and approximately aligned with the interior surface of said platen, said recording material resting on the upper surface of said housing exterior while moving towards said platen.
- 4. A device as in claim 3 in which said feed means includes a drive roller in said housing, said housing having an opening at its top with said drive roller extending adjacent said opening, a curved guide member releasably mounted on said housing opposite said opening, and an idler roller on said guide member positioned to engage said drive roller to grip said recording material.
