Claims
- 1. A home entertainment transducer system for generating movement having at least three legs, comprising:chair leg movement generator means for generating reciprocate movements at each one of said leg of a chair; and motor controlling means for processing a series of movement input codes and generate in response to each input code a sequence of power drive signals for powering said movement generator means to produce small amplitude reciprocate movements in said chair according to said movement codes; wherein said chair leg movement generator means comprises a unit for each said leg of said chair, each said unit comprising an electric motor; further wherein said chair leg movement generator means further comprises a shaft encoder means coupled to said electric motor for transmitting at least one of an angular speed and an angular position feedback to said motor controlling means.
- 2. The home entertainment transducer system claimed in claim 1, wherein said motor controlling means outputs a variable power drive signal for powering said chair leg movement generator means which produces reciprocate movements having variable amplitude and variable frequency upon receipt of said variable power drive signal.
- 3. The home entertainment transducer system claimed in claim 2, wherein said chair leg movement generator means comprises:a chair leg receiving surface for supporting a leg of said chair and for transmitting said mechanical movements to the chair; rotative means for lifting and lowering at small amplitude and low frequency said chair leg receiving surface; an electric motor coupled to said rotative means; and a shaft encoder means coupled to said electric motor for providing at least one of an angular speed and an angular position feedback to said motor controlling means.
- 4. The home entertainment transducer system claimed in claim 3 wherein said movement input codes comprise information related to an amplitude and a frequency of a reciprocate movement to be generated by said movement generator means.
- 5. The home entertainment transducer system claimed in claim 3 wherein said rotative means comprises:a base; thrust bearing means freely rotating on top of said base; at least one cam freely rotating on top of said thrust bearing for transforming a rotative movement into a linear movement; and roller means on top of said cam which is lifted and lowered as it rotates on said cam.
- 6. The home entertainment transducer system claimed in claim 1 wherein said motor controlling means comprise a remote controller for remotely controlling characteristics of said mechanical movement generated by said movement generators.
- 7. The home entertainment transducer system as claimed in claim 1 wherein said movement input codes set a frequency and an amplitude of a reciprocate movement of said movement generator means to be transmitted to said chair.
- 8. The home entertainment transducer system as claimed in claim 3 wherein said movement input codes comprise a series of angular positions to be reached by said electric motor of said movement generator means for producing reciprocate movements.
- 9. A home entertainment transducer system for generating movement in a chair, the home entertainment transducer system comprising:movement actuator disposed between a fixed floor and said chair for generating reciprocate movements with a plurality of degrees of actuation; and motor controlling means for generating a series of signals for controlling said movement actuator in synchronization with a video program; wherein said movement actuator is disposed between said fixed floor and said chair to generate reciprocate movement with four degrees of actuation.
