Claims
- 1. A nozzle plate for an ink jet recording apparatus comprising:
- a nozzle plate having front and rear surfaces, said nozzle plate having:
- a nozzle hole defined by an inner surface which is contiguous from said front surface of said nozzle plate through which ink passes as it is ejected from said rear surface toward the front surface; and
- means for enabling a meniscus of ink to be formed in a more stable manner inside said nozzle hole so as to at least partially define the shape of the meniscus, said enabling means including an ink-repellant coating film provided uniformly on said front surface of said nozzle plate, said inner surface of said nozzle plate, and said rear surface of said nozzle plate.
- 2. A nozzle plate for an ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said ink-repellent coating film is made of a fluorine-containing high molecular material.
- 3. A nozzle plate for an ink jet recording apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said ink-repellent coating film is a fluorine-containing high molecule eutectoid plating.
