Claims
- 1. An optical information recording medium recording and reproduction method for recording and reproducing an information signal on/from both of concave portions and convex portions of guide grooves formed on a recording medium, the recording medium having a substrate on which the guide grooves consisting of the concave portions and the convex portions are formed, and a recording thin film, formed on the guide grooves, the recording medium having a test zone and an information zone,the optical information recording medium recording and reproduction method comprising the steps of: demodulating test information signals reproduced by light reflected by or transmitted through a recording mark recorded on the test zone of the recording medium under a focusing condition where an offset level is variable among a plurality of stages; and determining an optimum focusing condition with respect to each of the concave portions and the convex portions of the guide grooves on the information zone of the recording medium by comparing the demodulated test information signals with each other.
