Claims
- 1. An optical recording material comprising a water-soluble polymer as a host component, said polymer including deuterium atoms bonded to carbon atoms contained within said polymer, and a water-soluble organic pigment dispersed in said host component as a guest component, wherein at least some of said deuterium atoms are not engaged in hydrogen bonding.
- 2. The optical recording material of claim 1, wherein said water-soluble polymer is a hydrogen bonding polymer.
- 3. The optical recording material of claim 2, wherein said hydrogen bonding polymer is polyvinyl alcohol or deuterated polymethacrylic acid.
- 4. The optical recording material of claim 1, wherein said water-soluble pigment is a water-soluble porphine derivative.
- 5. The optical recording material of claim 1, wherein said water-soluble pigment is a water-soluble phthalocyanine derivative.
- 6. The optical recording material of claim 4, wherein said porphine derivative has an ionic substituent.
- 7. The optical recording material of claim 6, wherein said ionic substituent is an anionic substituent.
- 8. The optical recording material of claim 6, wherein said ionic substituent is a cationic substituent.
- 9. The optical recording material of claim 6, wherein said ionic substituent is an amphoteric ionic substituent.
- 10. The optical recording material of claim 7, wherein said anionic substituent is SO.sub.3.sup.- group.
- 11. The optical recording material of claim 7, wherein said anionic substituent is CO.sub.2.sup.- group.
- 12. The optical recording material of claim 7, wherein said anionic substituent is O.sup.-.
- 13. The optical recording material of claim 10, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphine.
- 14. The optical recording material of claim 11, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-carbonatophenyl)porphine.
- 15. The optical recording material of claim 8, wherein said cationic substituent is a quaternary amino group.
- 16. The optical recording material of claim 8, wherein said cationic substituent is N-alkylpyridinium group.
- 17. The optical recording material of claim 15, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-N,N,N-trialkylaminophenyl)porphine.
- 18. The optical recording material of claim 17, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-N,N,N-trimethylaminophenyl)porphine.
- 19. The optical recording material of claim 16, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-N-methylpyridinium) porphine.
- 20. The optical recording material of claim 16, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-N-ethylpyridinium)porphine.
- 21. The optical recording material of claim 1, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is a water-soluble xanthene pigment.
- 22. The optical recording material of claim 1, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is a water-soluble oxazine pigment.
- 23. The optical recording material of claim 1, wherein said water-soluble organic pigment is a water-soluble thiazine pigment.
- 24. The optical recording material of claim 21, wherein said water-soluble xanthene pigment is a water-soluble fluorescein derivative or a water-soluble Rhodamine pigment.
- 25. The optical recording material of claim 1, wherein not less than 70% of hydrogen atoms not engaging in hydrogen bond in said water-soluble deuterated polymer are substituted with deuterium.
