Claims
- 1. A pattern reading apparatus, comprising:a point light source that illuminates an object surface having a pattern formed thereon as an object to be read; an objective lens that converges a light beam having information of the pattern; a spatial filter having a shading region that shades the light beam, which forms the image of said light source, having passed through said objective lens; and a shift mechanism that supports said objective lens for movement parallel to a direction approximately perpendicular to the optical axis of said objective lens, whereby the image of the pattern formed by the component of the light beam having passed through said spatial filter is read.
- 2. The pattern reading apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising an imaging element that reads the image of the pattern formed by the component of the light beam having passed through said spatial filter.
- 3. The pattern reading apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said objective lens is positioned through which the light beam reflected at the object surface passes.
- 4. The pattern reading apparatus according to claim 1, wherein both surfaces of said objective lens have a curved shape.
- 5. The pattern reading apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said light source is positioned where the object is illuminated through said objective lens.
- 6. The pattern reading apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said objective lens causes the light beam emitted from said light source to be incident on the object surface as an approximately parallel light beam.
- 7. The pattern reading apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the amount of movement M of said objective lens by said shift mechanism satisfies −D/2<M<D/2 where D represents the diameter of the objective lens.
- 8. The pattern reading apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said spatial filter is positioned nearer to the objective lens than a paraxial image point of the light source formed through the objective lens.
- 9. The pattern reading apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising an imaging lens for imaging the light beam having passed through said spatial filter, the imaging lens being interposed between said spatial filter and said imaging element.
