Claims
- 1. An isolated peptide of 16 to 30 amino acids selected for a consecutive sequence from the peptide of the amino acid sequence:
- 2. A composition comprising a at least one peptide of claim 1 in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 3. The composition of claim 2 wherein the peptide is bound to BSA bovine serum albumin.
- 4. A method of immunizing a succeptable host against illness arising from infection with bacteria which produce the CS4-CFA/1 family of proteins comprising administration of an immunizing effective amount of the composition of claim 2.
- 5. The method of claim 4 wherein the composition contains an adjuvant.
- 6. The composition of claim 5 wherein the adjuvant is Freunds adjuvant.
- 7. A peptide of the formula:
- 8. The peptide of claim 7 conjugated to an immunogen.
