Claims
- 1. An image processing apparatus comprising:
- (a) a photoelectric converting device including:
- a plurality of photoelectric converting elements disposed to confront an original sheet the image information of which is to be read;
- a protection layer disposed on said photoelectric converting elements;
- a light transmissive substrate on which said photoelectric converting elements are disposed; and
- flexible guide means disposed on an original-sheet supply side of said light transmissive substrate, said guide means being disposed such that at least a portion of said guide means is positioned in contact with an edge surface of said light transmissive substrate without overlapping a top surface of said substrate;
- (b) a light source for illuminating said original sheet;
- (c) conveyance means for conveying said original sheet;
- (d) communication means for transmitting or receiving an electric signal communicating image information;
- (e) an output portion for recording an image on a document in accordance with an electric signal corresponding to image information;
- (f) one of (i) recovering means for recovering unpreferable discharge of said output portion and (ii) cleaning means for cleaning said output portion; and
- (g) a controller for controlling said photoelectric converting device, said light source, said conveyance means, said communication means, said output portion, and said one of said (i) recovering means and said (ii) cleaning means.
- 2. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said output portion includes an electro-thermal converter for generating thermal energy to produce a bubble to cause ink to be discharged from said output portion.
- 3. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said guide means comprises an organic material.
- 4. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said guide means comprises light shielding means.
- 5. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said guide means is adapted to seal at least one of an integrated circuit chip and an electrical connecting means.
- 6. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said guide means is formed continuously from a surface of said protection layer.
- 7. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said cleaning means comprises a cleaning blade.
- 8. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said facsimile device further comprises a heater for heating a conveyed recording sheet.
- 9. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said output portion comprises a full line ink jet recording head.
- 10. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1 wherein said light-transmissive substrate of said photoelectric converting device is resin-sealed at least partially.
- 11. An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said recovering means comprises capping means.
- 12. A recovering means according to claim 11, wherein said capping means comprises an ink absorber.
- 13. An image processing apparatus comprising:
- (a) a light transmissive substrate including
- a plurality of photoelectric converting elements disposed to confront an original sheet the image information of which is to be read;
- a protection layer disposed on said photoelectric converting elements;
- a light transmissive substrate on which said photoelectric converting elements are disposed; and
- guide means disposed on an original-sheet supply aide of said light transmissive substrate and formed of a flexible porous member, said guide means being disposed such that at least a portion thereof contacts an end surface of said light transmissive substrate and such that at least a portion of said guide means is positioned in contact with an upper surface of said protection layer;
- (b) a facsimile device including a light source for illuminating the original sheet;
- (c) conveyance means for conveying the original sheet;
- (d) communication means for transmitting or receiving an electric signal corresponding to image information;
- (e) an ink jet recording head for recording an image on a document in accordance with an electric signal communicating image information;
- (f) one of (i) recovering means for recovering a discharge of said ink jet recording head and (ii) cleaning means for cleaning said ink jet recording head; and
- (g) a controller for controlling said photoelectric converting device, said light source, said conveyance means, said communication means, said ink jet recording head portion, and said one of said (i) recovering means and said (ii) cleaning means.
- 14. An image processing apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said ink jet recording head includes an electro-thermal converter for generating thermal energy to produce a bubble to cause ink to be discharged from said ink jet recording head.
- 15. An image processing apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said guide means comprises electrically conductive means.
- 16. An image processing apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said guide means comprises light shielding means.
- 17. An image processing apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said cleaning means comprises a cleaning blade.
- 18. An image processing apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said facsimile device further comprises a heater for heating a conveyed recording sheet.
- 19. An image processing apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said ink jet recording head comprises a full line head.
- 20. An image processing apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said light-transmissive substrate of said photoelectric converting device is resin-sealed at least partially.
- 21. An image processing apparatus according to claim 13, wherein said recovering means comprises capping means.
- 22. An image processing according to claim 21, said capping means comprises an ink jet absorber.
- 23. An image processing apparatus comprising:
- (a) a photoelectric converting device including:
- a plurality of photoelectric converting elements disposed to confront an original sheet the image information of which is to be read;
- a protection layer disposed on said photoelectric converting elements;
- a light transmissive substrate on which said photoelectric converting elements are disposed; and
- guide means disposed on an original-sheet supply side of said light transmissive substrate and formed of a flexible film, said guide means extending on the surface of said protection layer which does not contact an original conveyance roller;
- (b) a facsimile device including a light source for illuminating the original sheet;
- (c) conveyance means for conveying the original sheet;
- (d) communication means for transmitting or receiving an electric signal communicating image information;
- (e) an ink jet recording head for recording an image on a document in accordance with an electric signal corresponding to image information;
- (f) one of (i) recovering means for recovering a discharge of said ink jet recording head and (ii) cleaning means for cleaning said ink jet recording head; and
- (g) a controller for controlling said photoelectric converting device, said light source, said conveyance means, said communication means, ink jet recording head portion, and said one of said (i) recording means and said (ii) cleaning means.
- 24. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said ink jet recording head includes an electro-thermal converter for generating thermal energy to produce a bubble to cause an ink to be discharged from said ink jet recording head.
- 25. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said guide means comprises an organic material.
- 26. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said guide means comprises electrical conductivity means.
- 27. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said guide means comprises low friction means.
- 28. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said guide means comprises light shielding means.
- 29. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said recovering means comprises capping means.
- 30. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said capping means comprises an ink absorber.
- 31. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said cleaning means comprises a cleaning blade.
- 32. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said facsimile device further comprises a heater for heating a conveyed recording sheet.
- 33. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said ink jet recording head comprises a full line head.
- 34. An image processing apparatus according to claim 23, wherein said light-transmissive substrate of said photoelectric converting device is resin-sealed at least partially.
- 35. An image processing apparatus comprising:
- (a) a photoelectric converting device including:
- a plurality of photoelectric converting elements for reading original image information;
- a protection layer disposed on said photoelectric converting elements;
- a light transmissive substrate on which said photoelectric converting elements are disposed; and
- guide means disposed in contact with an original supply side of said light transmissive substrate, said guide means extending in such a manner that at least a portion of said guide means is positioned in contact with a surface of said protection layer, and said guide means is held in contact with said original at a position adjacent to said transmissive substrate;
- (b) a facsimile device including a light source for illuminating said original;
- (c) conveyance means for conveying said original;
- (d) communication means for transmitting or receiving an electrical signal communicating image information;
- (e) an ink jet recording head for recording an image on a document in accordance with an electrical signal corresponding to image information;
- (f) one of (i) recovering means for recovering a discharge of said ink jet recording head and (ii) cleaning means for cleaning said ink jet recording head; and
- (g) a controller for controlling said converting means, said light source, said conveyance means, said communication means, said ink jet recording head portion, and said one of said (i) recovering means and said (ii) cleaning means.
- 36. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said ink jet recording head has an electro-thermal converter for generating a bubble in a liquid.
- 37. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said guide means comprises an organic material.
- 38. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said guide means comprises an electrically conductive material.
- 39. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said guide means further comprises light shielding means.
- 40. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said cleaning means comprises a cleaning blade.
- 41. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said facsimile device further comprises a heater for heating a conveyed recording sheet.
- 42. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said ink jet recording head comprises a full line head.
- 43. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said light-transmissive substrate of said photoelectric converting device is resin-sealed at least partially.
- 44. An image processing apparatus according to claim 35, wherein said recovering means comprises capping means.
- 45. An image processing apparatus according to claim 44, wherein said capping means comprises an ink absorber.
- 46. A photoelectric converting device comprising:
- a plurality of photoelectric converting elements disposed so as to read image information of an original
- a protection layer disposed on said photoelectric converting elements;
- a light transmissive substrate on which said photoelectric converting elements are disposed; and
- an organic resin material which binds said photoelectric converting elements to said protection layer.
- 47. A photoelectric converting device according to claim 46, wherein said organic resin material has light shielding characteristics.
- 48. A photoelectric converting device according to claim 46, wherein said organic resin material is adapted to seal at least an integrated circuit chip or an electrical connecting means of said photoelectric converting elements.
- 49. A photoelectric converting device according to claim 46, wherein said organic resin material is formed continuously at a top surface of said protection layer.
- 50. A photoelectric converting device according to claim 46, further comprising a light source for illuminating said original sheet.
- 51. A photoelectric converting device according to claim 46, further comprising a conveyance means for conveying said original sheet.
- 52. A photoelectric converting device according to claim 46, wherein said protection layer comprises a thin glass plate.
- 53. An image processing device comprising:
- a) a photoelectric converting device including:
- a plurality of photoelectric converting elements disposed to confront an original sheet the image of which is to be read;
- a protection layer disposed on said photoelectric converting elements;
- a light transmissive substrate on which said photoelectric converting elements are disposed; and
- an organic resin material bonding said photoelectric converting elements to said protection layer;
- b) a light source for illuminating said original sheet;
- c) a conveyance means for conveying said original sheet;
- d) an output portion for recording an image on a document by an electric signal in accordance with image information; and
- e) a controller for controlling said photoelectric converting device, said light source, said conveyance means, and said output portion.
- 54. An image processing device according to claim 53, wherein said organic resin material comprises a light shielding means.
- 55. An image processing device according to claim 53, wherein said organic resin material is adapted to seal at least an integrated circuit chip or an electrical connecting means of said photoelectric converting elements.
- 56. An image processing device according to claim 53, further comprising a communication means controlled by said controller.
- 57. An image processing device according to claim 53, further comprising a heater for heating a conveyed recording paper.
- 58. An image processing device according to claim 53, wherein said protection layer comprises a thin glass plate.
- 59. An image processing device according to claim 53, wherein said output portion comprises one of an ink jet recording head or a thermal recording head.
- 60. An image processing device according to claim 59, wherein said ink jet head comprises a full-line type head.
- 61. An image processing device according to claim 59, wherein said ink jet recording head has an electro-thermal converter for generating thermal energy to be utilized to form air bubbles in order to discharge ink from said ink jet recording head.
- 62. An image processing device according to claim 61, further comprising at least one of a recovering means for recovering a discharge of said ink jet recording head and/or a cleaning means for cleaning said ink jet recording head.
- 63. An image processing device according to claim 62, wherein said cleaning means comprises a cleaning blade.
- 64. An image processing device according to claim 62, wherein said recovering means comprises a capping means.
- 65. An image processing device according to claim 64, wherein said capping means comprises an ink absorber.
- 66. A method for molding a glass component, a forcing member, and resin into a monolithic structure, comprising the steps of:
- disposing in a mold the glass component and the forcing member such that the forcing member is situated between said glass component and an inner surface of said mold;
- clamping said mold so as to fix by force said glass component through the intermediary of said forcing member;
- forming a cavity between said glass component and said forcing member, and the inner surface of said mold; and
- injecting resin into said cavity.
- 67. A method of molding a photoelectric converting device, comprising the steps of:
- placing said photoelectric converting device in a first mold, said photoelectric converting device including a plurality of photoelectric converting elements, a protection layer formed on said photoelectric converting elements, and a light-transmitting support member on which said photoelectric converting elements are disposed;
- placing a second mold on said protective layer of said photoelectric converting device, in contact with the portions of said protection layer corresponding to said photoelectric converting elements; and
- filling the space defined by said first mold, second mold and said photoelectric converting device with a resin.
- 68. A method according to claim 67, wherein said resin material has light shielding characteristics.
- 69. A method according to claim 67, wherein said protection layer comprises a thin glass plate.
