Claims
- 1. A photosensitive transfer material comprising a temporary substrate having provided thereon an alkali-soluble thermoplastic resin layer, an intermediate layer, and a photosensitive resin layer in this order, the interlaminar adhesion in said transfer material being the smallest at the interface between said thermoplastic resin layer and said temporary substrate.
- 2. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the temporary substrate is made of a polyethylene terephthalate, a polycarbonate, a polyethylene, a polypropylene, or a laminate thereof.
- 3. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the temporary substrate has a thickness of from 5 to 300 .mu.m.
- 4. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the thermoplastic resin composition constituting said thermoplastic resin layer has a softening point of not more than 80.degree. C.
- 5. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 4, wherein said thermoplastic resin composition comprises at least one resin selected from the group consisting of a saponification product of an ethylene-acrylic ester copolymer, a saponification product of a styrene-acrylic ester copolymer, a saponification product of a styrene-methacrylic ester copolymer, a saponification product of a vinyltoluene-acrylic ester copolymer, a saponification product of a vinyltoluene-methacrylic ester copolymer, a polyacrylate, a polymethacrylate, a saponification product of an acrylic ester-vinyl acetate copolymer, and a saponification product of a methacrylic ester-vinyl acetate copolymer.
- 6. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said temporary substrate has a thickness of at least 6 .mu.m.
- 7. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said temporary substrate has a thickness of not more than 100 .mu.m.
- 8. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said intermediate layer comprises a material which prevents permeation of oxygen into the photosensitive material.
- 9. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said intermediate layer is soluble or dispersible in water or an aqueous alkaline solution.
- 10. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said intermediate layer comprises at least one material selected from the group consisting of a polyvinyl ether/maleic anhydride polymer, a water-soluble salt of a carboxyalkyl cellulose, a water-soluble celulose ether, a water-soluble salts of carboxyalkylated starch, a polyvinyl alcohol, a polyvinyl pyrrolidone, a polyacrylamide, a water-soluble polyamide, a water-soluble salt of polyacrylic acid, gelatin, an ethylene oxide polymer, a water-soluble salt of starch and analogues thereof, a styrene-maleic acid copolymer, and a maleate resin.
- 11. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said intermediate layer comprises a polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl pyrrolidone.
- 12. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 11, wherein said polyvinyl alcohol has a degree of saponification of at least 80%.
- 13. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 12, wherein said intermediate layer comprises polyvinyl pyrrolidone in an amount of from 1 to 75% by weight of the solids content of the intermediate layer.
- 14. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said intermediate layer has a thickness of from 0.1 to 5 .mu.m.
- 15. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said photosensitive resin layer softened and becomes tacky at a temperature of 150.degree. C. or lower.
- 16. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein the photosensitive resin layer comprises a photosensitive resin composition selected from the group consisting of a photosensitive composition comprising a negative type diazo resin and a binder, a photopolymerizable composition, a photosensitive resin composition comprising an azide compound and a binder, and a cinnamic acid-type photosensitive resin composition.
- 17. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said photosensitive resin layer has a thickness of from 0.1 .mu.m to 100 .mu.m.
- 18. A photosensitive transfer material as claimed in claim 1, wherein said temporary substrate is a substrate having an electrically conductive layer having a surface resistivity of not more than 10.sup.13 .OMEGA. or is a substrate which has been rendered electrically conductive so as to have a surface resistivity of not more than 10.sup.13 .OMEGA..
