Claims
- 1. An isolated polypeptide having an amino acid sequence of a .beta.3-adrenergic receptor having a substitution of tryptophan at amino acid residue 64 with arginine and wherein the substituted receptor is associated with having or at risk of having an increased likelihood for developing Type II diabetes mellitus and/or obesity.
