Claims
- 1. An improved portable fueling facility, comprising:
- a storage tank for storing a volatile fuel that has a boiling point less than water;
- outer tank means for providing secondary containment about said storage tank;
- means for supporting said outer tank means on a flat surface;
- pump means adapted for dispensing fuel into a vehicle;
- supply pipe means for guiding fuel from said storage tank to said pump means; and
- fire-retardant thermal ceramic fiber material positioned between said storage tank and said outer tank means, said storage tank being substantially supported within said outer tank means by said thermal ceramic fiber material, whereby said storage tank will be insulated against heat that would vaporize said volatile fuel for a prolonged period against flames and resulting extreme temperature conditions during a fire emergency which might occur outside said outer tank means.
- 2. A fueling facility according to claim 1, wherein said fire-retardant material is applied in blanket form.
