Claims
- 1. A power coating material for providing a crepe-like pattern coating, comprising a co-milled pulverous mass with particle sizes not higher than 105 .mu.m, which is composed of
- (A) 95-99.5 parts by weight of a first pelletized resin component comprising a first thermosetting resin which is a solid at room temperature, for the powder coating material and
- (B) 5-0.5 parts by weight of a second pelletized resin component comprising a second thermosetting resin which is a solid at room temperature and contains 3-8% by weight of a cellulose ester, for the powder coating material, said second pelletized resin component being distributed uniformly over said first pelletized resin component.
- 2. A powder coating material according to claim 1, wherein the first and/or the second resin components contain the same or each different coloring material each in an amount of 1-40% by weight.
- 3. A powder coating material according to claim 1, wherein the first and/or second resin components contain a curing agent in an amount of 2-50% by weight, based on the weight of the thermosetting resin.
- 4. A powder coating material according to claim 1, wherein the thermosetting resin used in the first and/or second resin components is one or more members selected from the group consisting of an epoxy resin having a melting point of 60.degree.-110.degree. C., a carboxyl group-containing polyester resin having a melting point of 60.degree.-125.degree. C., a hydroxyl group-containing polyester resin having a melting point of 60.degree.-125.degree. C., an acrylic resin having a melting point of 60.degree.-120.degree. C., a carboxyl group-containing acrylic resin having a melting point of 60.degree.-125.degree. C., a hydroxyl group-containing acrylic resin having a melting point of 60.degree.-125.degree. C. and a hydroxyl group-containing fluorocarbon resin having a melting point of 60.degree.-120.degree. C.
- 5. A method for preparing a crepe-like coating, comprising applying a powder coating material onto a substrate and heating the coated layer of the powder coating material to melt to cause curing thereof, said powder coating material being a co-milled pulverous mass with particle sized not higher than 105 .mu.m, which is composed of
- (A) 95-99.5 parts by weight of a first pelletized resin component comprising a first thermosetting resin which is a solid at room temperature, for the powder coating material and
- (B) 5-0.5 parts by weight of a second pelletized resin component comprising a second thermosetting resin which is a solid at room temperature and contains 3-8% by weight of a cellulose ester, for the powder coating material, said second pelletized resin component being uniformly distributed over said first resin component.
- 6. A coating exhibiting a crepe-like pattern, which is made from a powder coating material, said powder coating material being a co-milled pulverous mass with particle sizes not higher than 105 .mu.m, which is composed of
- (A) 95-99.5 parts by weight of a first pelletized resin component comprising a first thermosetting resin which is a solid at room temperature, for the powder coating material and
- (B) 5-0.5 parts by weight of a second pelletized resin component comprising a second thermosetting resin which is a solid at room temperature and contains 3-8% by weight of a cellulose ester, for the powder coating material, said second pelletized resin component being uniformly distributed over said first resin component.
