Claims
- 1. In a process for the preparation of an electrostatographic toner material comprising encapsulating a core material containing a binder of high boiling liquid selected from the group consisting of compounds having a boiling point of higher than 180.degree. C. with a shell material in an aqueous medium to prepare encapsulated toner particles and drying the so prepared encapsulated toner particles, the improvement which comprises heating the so dried encapsulated toner particles at a temperature from 80.degree. to 300.degree. C. for a period of at least 2 hours.
- 2. The process as claimed in claim 1, in which the stage for drying the encapsulated toner particles is carried out by spray drying.
- 3. The process as claimed in claim 1, in which the shell material is selected from the group consisting of polyurethane, polyamide, polyester, polysulfonamide, polyurea, epoxy resin, polysulfonate and polyurea.
- 4. The process as claimed in claim 1, in which the shell material is polyurethane, polyurea or a mixture thereof.
- 5. The process as claimed in claim 1, in which the encapsulation of the core material is accomplished by an interfacial polymerization method.
- 6. The process as claimed in claim 5, in which the interfacial polymerization is accomplished using polyisocyanate, polyol and/or polyamide.
- 7. The process as claimed in claim 1, in which the encapsulation of the core material is accomplished by an inner polymerization method.
