Claims
- 1. A method of delivering abrasive particulate material from a storage container formed to contain the abrasive particulate material therein, the storage container including a base having an inlet opening and an outlet opening defined therein, the method comprising:disposing the abrasive particulate material within the storage container; communicating an inlet valve with the inlet opening; supplying a first gas regulated to a first predetermined pressure to the inlet valve and releasing the first gas through the inlet valve and into the storage container, including fluidizing a quantity of the abrasive particulate material within the storage container adjacent the outlet opening; discharging a quantity of the abrasive particulate material through the outlet opening and to an output junction; and supplying a second gas regulated to a second predetermined pressure to the output junction.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the abrasive particulate material includes at least one of sand, aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, quartz, and diamond dust.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein the first gas is air.
- 4. The method of claim 1, wherein the first gas is an inert gas.
- 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the second gas is air.
- 6. The method of claim 1, wherein the second gas is an inert gas.
- 7. The method of claim 1, wherein the first gas and the second gas are the same type of gas.
- 8. The method of claim 7, wherein the first gas and the second gas are air.
- 9. The method of claim 7, wherein the first gas and the second gas are an inert gas.
- 10. The method of claim 1, wherein the inlet valve is a one-way valve.
- 11. The method of claim 10, wherein the one-way valve is a duckbill check valve.
- 12. The method of claim 1, wherein supplying the first gas further includes adjustably controlling the first gas.
- 13. The method of claim 1, wherein supplying the first gas further includes dispersing the first gas.
- 14. The method of claim 1, wherein supplying the second gas further includes filtering the second gas.
- 15. The method of claim 1, further comprising:venting a portion of the first gas to the output junction.
- 16. The method of claim 1, further comprising: communicating the output junction with an output nozzle.
- 17. A method of delivering abrasive particulate material from a storage container defining an interior space formed to contain the abrasive particulate material therein, the storage container including an inlet opening and an outlet opening both communicating with the interior space, the method comprising:disposing the abrasive particulate material within the interior space of the storage container, communicating an inlet valve with the inlet opening of the storage container; supplying a first gas regulated to a first predetermined pressure to the inlet valve and releasing the fist gas through the inlet valve and into the interior space of the storage container through the inlet opening, including fluidizing a quantity of the abrasive particulate material within the interior space of the storage container adjacent the outlet opening; discharging a quantity of the abrasive particulate material through the outlet opening of the storage container and to an output junction; and supplying a second gas regulated to a second predetermined pressure to the output junction.
- 18. The method of claim 17, wherein the abrasive particulate material includes at least one of sand, aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, quartz, and diamond dust.
- 19. The method of claim 17, wherein the first gas is air.
- 20. The method of claim 17, wherein the first gas is an inert gas.
- 21. The method of claim 17, wherein the second gas is air.
- 22. The method of claim 17, wherein the second gas is an inert gas.
- 23. The method of claim 17, wherein the first gas and the second gas are the same type of gas.
- 24. The method of claim 23, wherein the first gas and the second gas are air.
- 25. The method of claim 23, wherein the first gas and the second gas are an inert gas.
- 26. The method of claim 17, wherein the inlet valve is a one-way valve.
- 27. The method of claim 26, wherein the one-way valve is a duckbill check valve.
- 28. The method of claim 17, wherein supplying the first gas further includes adjustably controlling the flat gas.
- 29. The method of claim 17, wherein supplying the first gas further includes dispersing the first gas within the interior space of the storage container.
- 30. The method of claim 17, wherein supplying the second gas further includes filtering the second gas before the output junction.
- 31. The method of claim 17, further comprising:venting a portion of the first gas through the interior space of the storage container and to the output junction.
- 32. The method of claim 17, further comprising:communicating the output junction with an output nozzle.
