Claims
- 1. A length of film for photographic exposure in a camera comprising a first exposed area, and an unexposed area for exposure to a target image, the unexposed area being the portion of the film not containing the first exposed area; the first exposed area on the film having been partially pre-exposed, thereby being conditioned for re-exposure under a partially reduced exposure intensity with respect to the target image when the target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the film, and thereby permitting the production of film having both a re-exposed area and the target image.
- 2. A film as claimed in claim 1 wherein the film is for use in photography, the film having the ability within its composition and structure, together with a camera having sensors for determining alignment with the exposure aperture frame.
- 3. A film as claimed in claim 1 for use in a disposable camera.
- 4. A film as claimed in claim 1 for use in a pre-assembled format in a camera.
- 5. A film as claimed in claim 1 for use in a pre-assembled format in a camera.
- 6. A film as claimed in claim 1 the film being rolled on a reel.
- 7. A length of film for photographic exposure in a camera comprising perforated holes located on an edge of the film and running along the length of the film, a first exposed image contained on an area of the film within a space to be formed as a frame on the film, an unexposed area of each frame of the film being the portion of the film not containing the first exposed image; the first exposed image having been partially pre-exposed, thereby being conditioned for re-exposure under a partially reduced exposure intensity with respect to a target image, and thereby permitting re-exposure of the first exposed image on each frame when the target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the frames of the film.
- 8. A film as claimed in claim 7 wherein the film is for use in photography, the film having the ability within its composition and structure, together with a camera having sensors for determining alignment with the exposure aperture frame.
- 9. A film as claimed in claim 7 for use in a disposable camera.
- 10. A film as claimed in claim 7 the film being rolled on a reel.
- 11. A film comprising a fixed length for photographic exposure in a camera comprising a first exposed image contained on an area of the film within a space to be formed as a frame on the film, the first exposed image having been partially pre-exposed, thereby being conditioned for re-exposure in a camera under a partially reduced exposure intensity with respect to a target image, and an unexposed area for each frame of the film being the portion of the film not containing the first exposed image.
- 12. A film as claimed in claim 11 wherein the camera and film are cooperative for permitting storing and reading of photographic information, wherein the film includes the ability within its composition and structure, together with the camera having sensors for determining alignment with the exposure aperture frame.
- 13. A film as claimed in claim 11 wherein the film is for use in a disposable camera.
- 14. A camera comprising:
- an exposure aperture frame, means for aligning a film with the exposure aperture frame for exposure to a target image on the film, the target image being focused by a lens onto an unexposed portion of the film; and
- an exposure intensity reducing element for location relative to a first exposed image on a first exposed area of the film thereby permitting re-exposure of the first exposed area under a partially reduced exposure intensity with respect to the target image when the target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the film.
- 15. A camera as claimed in claim 14 wherein the camera is disposable.
- 16. A camera as claimed in claim 14 when the camera is loaded with a roll of the film.
- 17. A photography apparatus comprising:
- a film for photographic exposure, the film having a first exposed area and an unexposed area for exposure to a target image, the unexposed area being a portion of the film not containing the first exposed area;
- a camera for holding the film prior to re-exposure and for holding film the after re-exposure, an exposure aperture frame, means for aligning the film with the exposure aperture frame for exposure to the target image, the target image being focused by a lens onto the film, and means for advancing the film whereby a re-exposed area of the film departs from the exposure aperture frame after re-exposure; and
- an exposure intensity reducing element for location relative to the first exposed area on the film thereby permitting re-exposure of the first exposed area when the target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the film.
- 18. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 17 wherein the exposure intensity reducing element includes a non-opaque exposure limiting device positioned between the lens and the first exposed area of the film.
- 19. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 18 wherein the non-opaque exposure limiting device includes a translucent diffuser.
- 20. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 19 wherein the translucent diffuser is selected to be at least any acrylic or plexiglass.
- 21. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 19 including an opaque bracket positioned between the lens and the film to at least partly define the exposure area around the borders of the frames of the film, the translucent diffuser being wedge-shaped and being attached to the opaque bracket at a narrow end, a wide end of the diffuser being adjacent to the film and substantially covering the first exposed image thereby permitting partial re-exposure of the first exposed area through the diffuser when the target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the film.
- 22. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 18 wherein the non-opaque exposure limiting device includes a plurality of diffusers attached at different locations on the opaque support bracket thereby permitting re-exposure of several pre-exposed areas of the film when the target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the film.
- 23. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 17 wherein the means for aligning the film across the exposure aperture frame includes aligning the means for partially reducing an exposure intensity with the first exposed image of the film.
- 24. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 23 wherein the means for aligning the film across the exposure aperture frame occurs when the film is loaded into the camera by lining up a mark on the film with a corresponding mark on the exposure aperture frame.
- 25. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 23 wherein the means for aligning the film across the exposure aperture frame includes a sensor of the camera for determining the position of a pre-exposed frame of the film relative to the exposure aperture frame and advances the film until the first unexposed frame of the film and the exposure aperture frame are aligned.
- 26. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 17 wherein the camera and film are cooperative for permitting storing and reading of photographic information, wherein the film includes the ability within its composition and structure, together with the camera having sensors for determining alignment with the exposure aperture frame.
- 27. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 18 wherein the non-opaque exposure limiting device is affixed with the exposure aperture frame or the exposure aperture housing of the camera.
- 28. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 18 wherein the non-opaque exposure limiting device is affixed with the film.
- 29. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 17 wherein the camera is disposable.
- 30. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 18 wherein the camera is disposable.
- 31. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 19 wherein the camera is disposable.
- 32. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 20 wherein the camera is disposable.
- 33. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 21 wherein the camera is disposable.
- 34. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 27 wherein the camera is disposable.
- 35. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 29 wherein the means for aligning the film across the exposure aperture frame includes aligning the non-opaque exposure limiting device with the first exposed image of the film.
- 36. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 29 wherein the means for aligning the film and the exposure aperture frame occurs during assembly of the camera and the film.
- 37. A photography apparatus as claimed in claim 17 wherein the film and the means for partially reducing the exposure intensity to the first exposed image on the film are integrated into a single film container when the film container is being pre-assembled.
- 38. A photography apparatus comprising:
- a film for photographic exposure, the film having a first exposed area and an unexposed area for exposure to a target image, the unexposed area being a portion of the film not containing the first exposed area;
- a camera for holding the film prior to exposure to the target image and for holding the film after exposure to the target image, an exposure aperture frame, means for aligning the film with the exposure aperture frame for exposure to the target image, the target image being focused by a lens onto the film, and means for advancing the film whereby the film departs from the exposure aperture frame after exposure to the target image; and
- an exposure intensity reducing element for location relative to the first exposed area on the film for effecting at least a partial blockage to the fist exposed area when the target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the film, such that a blended representation of the pre-exposed image and the target image is created.
- 39. A camera as claimed in claim 38 wherein the blending creates essentially no visible line of demarcation between the first exposed image and the target image.
- 40. A length of film for photographic exposure in a camera comprising a first exposed area, and an unexposed area for exposure to a target image, the unexposed area being the portion of the film not containing the first exposed area, the first exposed area on the film having been pre-exposed under a selected exposure intensity with respect to the target image such that when the target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the film, the first exposed area being at least partially blocked from re-exposure by an insert in a camera thereby permitting the production of film having both first exposed area and the target image, and the first exposed image is blended with the target image, so as to have essentially no visible line of demarcation between the first exposed image and the target image.
- 41. A film comprising a fixed length for photographic exposure in a single use camera comprising a first exposed image contained on an area of the film within a space to be formed as a frame on the film, the first exposed image having been pre-exposed under a selected exposure intensity, and an unexposed area for each frame of the film being the portion of the film not containing the first exposed image and being for receiving a target image, such that in use in a single use camera having insert means for creating at least a partial blockage against re-exposure of the portion of the film containing the first exposed image, and the first exposed image and the target image are relatively blended together so as to have essentially no visible line of demarcation between the first exposed image and the target image.
- 42. A single use camera comprising:
- an exposure aperture frame, a film loaded in the camera and having a first exposed image on a first area of the film, means for aligning the film with the exposure aperture frame for exposure to a target image, the target image being focused by a lens onto an unexposed portion of the film; and
- an exposure intensity reducing element for location relative to the first exposed image on the first area of the film thereby preventing at least partial re-exposure of the first exposed area when a target image is exposed to the unexposed portion of the film, and thereby creating the first exposed area and unexposed area relatively blended together.
- 43. A camera as claimed in claim 42 wherein blending creates essentially no visible line of demarcation between the first exposed image and the target image.
