Claims
- 1. In an electrostatic type reproduction machine for producing copies of originals, the machine having a movable photoreceptor and a series of discretely operated components cooperable with the photoreceptor and one another to electrostatically produce copies, the combination of:
- counting means for generating an actuating signal when said counting means reaches a preset reference count;
- control means to successively reset said counting means to a new predetermined count associated with the next one of said machine components to be operated;
- clock means to drive said counting means whereby said counting means counts starting from said predetermined count to said preset reference count; and
- means responsive to said actuating signal to operate said machine component.
- 2. The machine according to claim 1 including;
- timing means for repeatedly generating a timing mark; said control means responding to said timing mark to intervene and reset said counting means to a new predetermined count.
- 3. The machine according to claim 1 in which said preset reference count is zero, said clock means decrementing said counting means from said predetermined count to zero whereat said actuating signal is produced.
- 4. The machine according to claim 1 in which said clock means drives said counting means in timed relationship with said photoreceptor.
- 5. A control system for an electrostatic type reproduction machine of the type producing copies of originals, the machine including a movable photoreceptor and a plurality of discretely operated components actuable in predetermined timed relationship with one another to electrostatically produce copies, the combination of:
- a decrementing counter adapted to generate an actuating signal on a count of zero;
- control means to successively reset said counter to a new predetermined count associated with the next successive one of said machine components to be operated;
- means to drive said counter in timed relationship with said machine whereby said counting means decrements from said predetermined count to zero; and
- means responsive to said actuating signal to actuate said next machine component.
- 6. The machine according to claim 5 including:
- timing means for repeatedly generating a reset signal; said control means setting said counter to the first of said predetermined counts in response to said signal.
