Claims
- 1. A window assembly comprising:
a window with an opening; and a flange attached to a lower region of the window, an upper surface of the flange being substantially parallel to a bottom edge of the opening.
- 2. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the upper surface is at a higher elevation relative to the bottom edge of the opening.
- 3. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the upper surface is at substantially the same elevation as the bottom edge of the opening.
- 4. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange is longer than the bottom of the opening.
- 5. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange has a substantially L-shaped cross section.
- 6. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange has a contoured region along a substantial portion of the length of the flange.
- 7. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange is attached to the inside of the window.
- 8. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange is attached to the outside of the window.
- 9. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange is metal.
- 10. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange is plastic.
- 11. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange is attached to the window with screws.
- 12. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange is attached to the window with an adhesive.
- 13. The window assembly of claim 1, wherein the flange is attached to the window with nuts and bolts.
